Sunday Funday: Aerie Peak

Sounds like you guys had some fun, hope this helps promote more wholesome activity on AP again :)

Today was a blast! Thanks to Sabzep, Magiccandy, Blinka and Cryogenix for the excellent 5man mage premade to start out. 2:3 not bad! :D

I missed last week and started 2 hrs early today. I must be dialing it in. We continued with an 8 man consisting of 1 guardian druid and 7 heals. We ended up turreting in mid and lost to last cap. Deserved :p After that we did an all hunter premade that somehow Felix missed out on... It was as faceroll as you would expect. I believe some people continued with an all stealth premade. All in all we had a great time and tried some interesting things. I'm looking forward to future Sundays with you all and am very excited to see where this goes!

Aww man if my internet was not cut I would've been having fun with you guys :(

I may be late or miss the event tomorrow entirely due to RL conflicts. I'm sure you will all understand when I say, love > WoW. :p Fortunately Sunday Funday is still gaining speed and I don't believe it will hurt things too badly. If I don't make it, feel free to step up in coordinating!

PS: I updated the first post some more.

Sunday Funday continues as scheduled at 12pm server. I will post just before with what we are starting with.

6 shaman ready to go, if you want a crz inv let me know quick.

After 45 minutes of trying to get CRZ invites out to 2 players and people accidentally taking pops we finally got going with myself and 2 other shaman. We played about 5 games and I believe we only lost one. Once we got going it was great. :p
Maxwell Malice was able to recruit 7 players from various servers, Misha in particularI believe, for some WPvP. We intended to duke it out in SIlverpine Forest. Unfortunately only one person other than myself wanted to try it. I can't say I blame anyone considering how long the CRZ stuff took. AP alliance was unresponsive to my invitation. However this does show we have people with Alliance toons interested in WPvP.

CRZ was not very succesful, I will have to consider whether it's worth it to try and make this happen. The time investment was not what we wanted it to be. We'll see how things shake out in the future. I feel the same as everyone else in that I don't want to be waiting. We just want to rock and roll. Anyway, we are learning. Past PvP events took quite a bit of coordination as well, we will have to be better prepared when attempting the more complex ideas.

Thanks to Zabzop, Bruummy, Lankypuss, Trolleros and Shocktor for giving the shaman premade a go. Thank you to Maxwell Malice and Hmmk for volunteering to get the CRZ invites out. Lastly thank you to Gharley for your P2P service.

Afaik Numbernine and Arsanuss were the only players to snag a Keefer this week. AGM at 3pm went to a random 90. The 12pm winner is unknown and so are the winners of 1st and 2nd place in the contest.

See you next week! :)

We'll be starting off today with an all cloth premade. Grab your mages warlocks and priests! :D

Cloth-made in 7 minutes. If you want to play something other than mage/lock/priest you are welcome to throw on a dress. :)

Idk if this goes here, but AP shows up as 'New Players' on my login screen. Wasn't too long ago that it always said 'High.'

interesting.. I'm sure blizz knows by now that AP is has the most f2p twinks, probably no accident that they want to send new starter accounts to AP now

Really? That means AP is gonna be a bit laggy for some of the twinks

I think it means that Blizz actually acknowledges that the f2p community can have a positive impact on their bottom line.

We have to remember to be patient with the newbies. We can grow our community and do Blizz a service at the same time.

Either way we'll likely see a bunch of "true" trials running around. We would do well to invite them into chat. I don't play so much these days but I always see new faces when I log in.

Why would it be laggy? I play on a server that has been locked at times and on another that has had a queue time to log in and do not have a lag issue.
All "new players" means is that AP may be flagged as low pop, faction imbalanced, etc... Blizzard is directing new rollers to AP, that is it. It may only last a week or two.
AP has more than trials. There is a pretty huge meta raiding guild on Alliance made up of four other guilds.
