Warriors viable - Fury specifically?

    • Hello,

    Leveling up my warrior. He's about 50 or so now so should reach 70 in the next day or two.

    Wondering how warriors are in the 70 bracket?
    My preference is Fury however if that's not so good I'd also like to hear how Arms and Protection are.

    Depends on what you're going to do. If you want to PvP you should avoid Fury completely, you seriously won't even get a kill in most cases.

    If you're going to PvE and raid Fury is pretty viable, about the same DPS as other classes ~5K, but youll still be losing to Arms warriors and hunters (then again, who doesn't lose against hunters in PvE).

    So if you don't mind not being the best, you can always go Fury, it's a fun spec, but no Blood and Thunder makes you lose about 5K DPS on Trash compared to Prot or Arms and both of these specs also do better Single-Target.

    And don't forget you need 2 of each to play Fury xD
     
    For pvp I see a lot of prot warriors however Arms can be really good as well. It does massive burst damage and is pretty solid against most teams if you play it well, I know 2 2.2k arms warriors and a few 2k Prot.

    I don't think 70 BGs are too common. Arenas are on all the time though.

    At peak times I think you can get into a BG every so often if you're lucky.
    Just got to hope the free time you get is around the same time as peak times :p

    70 BG's are fine, the queues are between 15 and 45 minutes, that's probably the best of all XP-frozen brackets between 1 and 90.

    You can do battlegrounds as prot warrior, but in my opinion it isn't much fun. Shield slamming and revenge is about all you do.

    My understanding was they were far less common than that - I'm just working off what others have said so I apologise if I'm misinformed.

    Last couple of weeks it's been at ~19 minutes for me. With a bit shorter queues on the Alliance side.
     
    Fury I have no clue about, but I can assure you that prot warriors hit like a truck and Arms is generally just 10000 times more fun than prot and also viable cause of the constant pressure that you will be able to do if you play right
     
    I don't think Fury is viable in this bracket. Arms however is viable. I've been 2.2k on my arms before I ran with some different players. Prot is also viable due to how hard Shield Slam hits and same with Revenge. Warrior is a fun class in this bracket. Although, you need to run with a healer in 2s, might be best to run with either a Disc or an HPal. You can also run with a Boomy as long as they have nice off heals, not a very good comp but it has nice burst. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me, could maybe help with your warrior.
     
    Just as a fun side note, I saw a 2.2k warrior @ 70 wearing full t3 with severance from 60 naxx, was a pretty boner inducing sight.
