Crossrealms and Chest spawn timers

Let me begin by saying that Crossrealm is kinda bullsh1t - that aside, I'd like to ask a question about spawn timers on chests.
Say that there are two guys from different realms farming Wetlands-Arathi-Hillsbrad chests. Do we loot on same chests, or is it like Lucky fishing hat contest, where it is restricted to realm only?

I seriously hope that it's the latter, although I won't hold my breath on that one.
