Hi,

I'm planning to start a f2p balance druid, but I'm a bit spectic cause I'm not sure how they work. It's been a long time since I played in this bracket so I'm not aware of who's the best/worst classes.
Could someone give me some information about them?

Are they good? 1/10
Who can/can't they handle 1v1?
How is the damage? 1/10
What should I stack? (I see a lot of casters stacking crit>int, but is crit really so important?)

Not class related
What server should I play on? EU

Add some extra questions yourselfs, if I missed something ;)
 
I'm not all that familiar with the other stuff, but go with Aggramar for Horde or Twisting Nether for Alliance.
 
boomies can have problems if a hunter targets them.
Other than that, balance Druid is alot of fun.

What you like. Big or small group of people.
 
Are they good? Yes, 9/10

Who can/can't they handle 1v1? Can handle any class in 1v1 except hunters will cause you some trouble. Can't really solo any decent healers unless you can freecast and get retarded RNG luck with crits.

How is the damage? 9/10

What should I stack? Experiment with different builds and see what you like. My opinion is crit/int build is bis, but I've heard people say haste/int build would be the way to go. I wouldn't agree with this 100%, given the fact that it's pretty hard to find enough haste in this bracket to make it worth anything. Crit/int build doesn't hurt your damages consistency too much, but with a decent crit rating you'll find it easier to burst down your enemies. If you roll a troll, max haste build with berserking + natures grace + lifeblood popped sounds like a rapeworthy combo :p Then again, popping all those with a crit set will probably do just as good.

TLDR; crit/int or haste/int are both viable, see which one you like more.

What server should I play on? Aggramar EU on horde, Twisting Nether or Spinebreaker on alliance. TN or spine are not nearly as active as aggramar, but all of these realms have an active f2p twink community to play with. (note: Twisting Nether is a pretty big realm, so you will probably encounter some server queues to log on at peak times)

Extra questions, well you're gonna have to decide which race to go so about that: I'd probably go tauren over troll if you roll horde, since warstomp is one of the best racials around, both defensively and offensively. Trolls racial Berserking which is 20% haste for 10 seconds on a 3min cooldown is not bad either, but the somewhat long CD and short duration put me off a bit.

For alliance it's a tough call between nelf and worgen, but seeing how druids are extremely mobile already and moonkin survivability has received some severe nerfs (moonkin form nerf, battle fatigue = rather weak rejuv), I would go nelf for smeld which is an excellent cooldown to suspend incoming burst / cc. Then again, Darkflight is not bad either, combined with displacer beast and travel form you'll make some lightning speed getaways, and the additional +1% crit worgens get is a nice bonus.

Sorry for the last paragraph, probably won't help you a bit, was pretty much just vomiting my thoughts there but I hope you found something helpful in the post :D

They are good 8/10
They only cant beat hunters, ele shamans.
The dmg is good 8/10, apply dots to every eyepatch in sight ;)
If u go horde crit>int, if u go ally u can go crit>int but its better in horde, so in ally many ppl choose int>crit.

Dont expect to survive burst with ur rejuv spam, stay close to ur healers.

There TN for Ally and Aggramar for Horde, those are the most populated.
 
Oh, This is nice, I've been planning on making a lazer chicken myself, Intel and crit is really the BiS way to go for Rejuv crit ticks and I dont know if youve read, but Sunfire Dot refreshes from Wrath and Starsurge crits whereas Moonfire Dot refreshes from Starfall and Starsurge crits.

Note when taking on a hunter... you DoT then spam rejuv while running out of LoS, =3

YeSH ! They are. Create one on AggramarEU (Troll / Tauren... Its hard to choose... YOu can escape from rogues with the tauren racial and you can do faster shots with the troll racial).
Okay... Damage : 9/10 Not 10 because there are always hunters.

About builds .
I would choose Devout Aurastone Hammer + BoA Offhand .
Belt : Vigorous belt of the Vision 7 intelect 4 haste 2 stam
And Cloack : Tumultuous Cloak of the Sorcerer 4 stam 4 intel 4 haste. !
Stacking haste will reduce your World Cooldown by a small amount , but be careful , there are haste breakpoints.
Talent : Displacer Beast
Boomy > Rogue.

<Shamans ( Not shamans ... If you have Arc Intel stay of of them... they might purge it).
>Warriors . You have to kite the arms warriors. WHen they first charge at you you must NOT use displacer beast. Do another move so he can charge again than use displaacer .... Put debuffs , cast entangin roots than do your spells.

><= You cant do anything about the CC'ing Holy Priests. Here is a little note : When they cast Chastise do NOT trinket it. Because they will fear or Control your mind.

And they wil cast fear then fear again because he knows that you will trink the first one. So dont... wait until he finishes his second fear then pop insigna and eat him ALIVE. Same strategy about every spec he has... Be careful from Destruction... It pwns.

It's interesting to see people have such a high opinion of boomie damage. Anecdotally they seem weak. I can't recall ever seeing a 20 boomie above middling on a scoreboard. I haven't played one extensively and I'm pretty terrible at it (my healing always doubles my damage lol).

Healing is in boomie style : At lv 90 Most of the Boomkins got 30-65% heal and 35%-70% damage. Healing is the mecanism which allows the Boomies to survive.

Balance Druid is so awesome and deals high damage. Dont forget that he can use Rejuvenation to Heal. Moonkin Form increases the armor and haste providing more Survival . Stay close to the healers if you want to survive because Rejuvenation alone cant help you survive . Have fun playing a boomie :p

Then u never mid farmed with premade and getting pocket healed ;)

I've yet to enter a f2p bg as balance druid where I have not been #1 dmg, besides hunters or p2ps. Hunters can outdamage bdruids, hence why I said stated they're 9/10 on damage.

Yup this is correct, and like I said those screens are only to show what damage boomkins are capable of. But let Cripz have his fun, he's had a rough day of sitting @ gy + sitting @ sw with deserter I bet :p

ive just stated that Bdruids can do alot of dmg mid farming queuing with a premade and having pocket healers.
wait... was that how u did it? hmm but i bet u didnt use any OP buffs, cuz u are pro boomy.

Aye, I'm not gonna say these screenshots aren't from a premade because I honestly can't remember the particular bgs these screens were taken from, just took them from my SS folder. Seeing as I can name some of my friends from the screenshots in our team however, yes it's very likely these SS's are from a groupq of some sort.

I used wisdom elixir, not sure if I had minor wizard oil since it's quite a long time since these screens were taken and it's also been a long time since I've had any wiz oil :p

Considering me + Sami sent you to the GY around 15 times in the AB where we met today, I would say you have been sitting at the gy quite a bit today :D Sorry for misinforming about sitting @ SW though, I wasn't sure where you sit out your deserters so I assumed it to be stormwind. My bad!
