Oldschool gear + consumables

Heya

Level 1 is not fun for me in 5.4 ;( I've become sentimental and watched a lot of LoT videos on youtube and decided to regear my old level 1 rogue. Took away all heirlooms and 5.4 enchants and here is what I use now:

- Head BJH
- Neck Voice Amplification Modulator
- Shoulders - currently none
- Cape - Linen Cloak (12 armor) enchanted with +8agi+8dodge
- Chest - White Woolen Dress enchanted for +100 health
- Bracers - Cracked leather bracers enchanted for +3 dodge
- Gloves - Herbalist's gloves 2 pairs - one +7 agi and one +10 haste
- Legs - Haliscan Pantaloons enchanted for +40 armor
- Boots - Cracked Leather Boots - 3 pairs (minor speed / +7 stamina / +2 hit (old +5hit) )
- No rings
- AGM x1, gonna get another one soon.

- Main Hand - Arcane Forged Shortsword with unholy (only weapon I've found from my "no loom" ages)
- Offhand - FMP


I'm gonna farm up Fine scimitars and enchant them with +15 agi, crusader and fiery to have a complete weapon rotation.


Ok now: What can I change? I want this char to have high dodge because I mostly want to focus on soloing (have you noticed no one ever posts level 1 melee soloing? It's hunters or mages now, rogues can be seen only on raids), eventually 2-mans with other melees. There is a guy on my server selling Keen machete with +15 agility for 10k gold and I'm not sure if I want to grind gold for it - Is keen machete BiS no loom?

Can I get any better armor / enchants on these items?

Fine scimitar is slower than Keen machete, and Simple dagger is exactly the same as Keen machete other than the category atm, so I'd go Fine scimitar/Simple dagger and double simple dagger for 15agi.

Keen Machete if you're going for pure Old School feel...which apparently you're not if you're using Herbalist gloves.

So, if you're using Fiery (or any other PPM enchant) - use a 2.6 speed weapon (unless you're Horde, then get the Sunstrider Axe quest reward). I think Arcane Forged Shortsword is highest dps of 2.6
if you're using Agility (or any other Static enchant) - use a 1.6 speed weapon (unless you're Horde, then get the Darkspear Dagger quest reward). I think Arcane Forged Dirk is highest dps of the 1.6
