That was exactly my thought, that if you're not selling the design, you're nurturing the company to sell it later.

That's very, very commun.

That's a decent living there! You might look into Facebook too. For me to do PPC, it'd cost $2-4 per click on Google. But on Facebook, I'm paying around 20 cents per Like. And if they check their feed, they'll see my stuff all day long. And now you can target countries and cities, and put in keywords. Maybe people who like cars, chevys, mortgages, etc. I've spent about $6k on ads there and have 21k fans with a lot of sales. Just a thought.

Can you determine your ROI from the Facebook Ads?

What I mean is, if you can track the sales from Facebook.
 
Not accurately. We do most sales over the phone or email. So it's hard to track. But we are asking all customers soon where they found us after implementing a new CRM.

Oh, you don't have a physical place?

And yes, it's crucial to ask where did they hear from you. That way you can determinate if your investment in marketing has any ROI.
 
We have a space, but not a retail showroom. Most sales are not local. Yes I know, been asking for info on our sales for some time. But I don't always get what I want. It's happening soon though with our new sales platform.

The most fun ive had, while making money, is by 'DOXING'. Doxing is a service, where i find background information about someone, for a cheap 5$ (THIS INCLUDES NAME,PHONE,EMAILADRESS,FAMILY etc.) -- Probably the funniest methode, to make a good profit.

During college/grad school I did marketing consulting on the side (I did a year of marketing in between). So I basically worked with people like you guys who were trying to expand! It's a very interesting field, but it's too volatile for me. I'd love to talk to you guys about what is new in SEO etc. just to know it even though it has nothing to do with my current field.

I build no authority (SEO) to the websites I work with, they are already R1 for the keywords I want.

I just contact the webmasters to buy creatives from their websites. Usually I ask to strategically place the creatives I want to buy, that way if the webmaster is making revenue from lets say, Google Adsense, he wont have to remove any existing adspot, so it's additional income for him, and a business opportunity for me.

For obvious reasons I wont say what it is. :)

It's kinda funny to think 10 years ago I was making a living with internet porn!?! Wish I had started when the net started. My ex used to buy and sell domains. She made millions selling stupid domains. I have a couple good ones right now, but they don't have the same value they used to.

It's always been easy for me to profit from the internet. Just need to be persistent. On track to break $2 million this year. But I have 20 employees now so most of that vaporizes with them.
 
Since I do not care about 9-5 jobs or society at all, I would love to get into IM. I have a friend who makes about 2-4k pound sterling per month from sitting at home and selling stuff via amazon or some shit, haven't really gotten into it yet but I definately will in a few months when I turn 18.
 
You can make a lot of money buying things at garage sales, estate sales, etc., and selling on Ebay. I started buying old Schwinn bicycles, cleaning them up, and reselling on Ebay and Craigslist. Was a nice first hobby/business.

The americans do that alot, but they buy the expired license for renting a garage or something, then it goes to action and you buy what's inside.
