Transfering/Faction with GF gear etc.

Hey there,

Over the years i've done quite a bit with my mage.

I was thinking of moving it over to the server with my main and faction changing it from alliance to horde.

I guess I just have a couple questions:

1) I have Grandfathered gear equipped, will it stay that way after the server transfer?
2) what about alliance specific stuff like my trinket or my battle standard, do those get changed into horde?
- I also think there are items that are named one way for alliance and another way for horde, all those items will be moved accordingly (staying equipped)
3) I also have grandfathered professions (unless this has changed), those will stay in tact? (ie. lvl 19 with 450 mining)

Thanks, though now that i think of it, maybe it should stay where it is to avoid all this hassle.

All items will be kept, faction items converted to equivalence (but not such stuff as quest gear). Professions stay the same when they are normal, so I predict no changes here.

I see that you have Tree Bark Jacket equipped. Because that item now requires level 20 to use, you are no longer benefitting from wearing that item; it's the same as you not having anything equipped for your chest piece. The reason you are able to have it shown as equipped is because you had it equipped before the change in level requirement took place. This item isn't grandfathered, rather you can't equip it anymore unless you had it equipped before the change and haven't taken it off yet.

If this is what you mean by if grandfathered gear will remain equipped, I hope this helps.

Your other grandfathered piece of gear, Seal of Wrynn, will remain the same whether you faction or transfer servers.

Looking at your armory, I can't be 100% sure what bracers you are using because it is not loading. But because it seems like you have recently come back to 19 twinks, I'm guessing it is Crystalline Cuffs. Technically this is grandfathered but there is another bracers called Cuffs of the Black Elements that has the exact same stats. So really just the name is grandfathered.

replace simple with advanced in armory adress.

Grandfathered professions above 225 don't give you any stat gain or benefit. You have to drop your profession and re-level it.

For instance on my 19 warrior who is now recently lvled to 24, I have 450 skinning and it provides no crit bonus. So I have to drop it and level it up to 225 if I want any benefit.

Someone correct me please if I am wrong.

well idk, cuz my herbalism which is 450 give more haste than the 225 one. I don't know about others profs like skinning and mining.

Well maybe it's a tooltip error. If it's not in regards to my warrior, then I am 100% not receiving any crit rating from my 450 skinning at level 24.

Just a theory, but assuming you're both right (skinning doesn't work, herb does) and assuming it is not a tooltip error then it may be because Herb is a cast-able spell, where as others are a passive.

He may have rank 5 or 6 Herbalism or whatever rank 450 is, but I don't think he is actually using that rank of the spell. But if he is, it shouldn't be healing him for what it would be if he were the appropriate level to be receiving the benefit. It could just be a bug with Lifeblood who knows. But I am almost sure I receive zero crit from my 450 skinning. I have like 5.73% crit or something like that. No way my crit should be that low if it were working properly.

It seems herbalism scale down to another rank cuz it's not the same as the initial rank, but it still give me more haste that rank 4.
