Fishing Adventure

So this fine sunday afternoon i decided that i would try getting the Dread Pirate Ring - Item - World of Warcraft for my warrior.

I had a great start with plenty of pools all to myself, and as the clock stroke 2:14 i was well on my way to the magical 40 fish that would ensure my victory, my heart was pounding as i knew soon the first winner would be announced and the pool that i had fished before contained only 2 tasty fish. A pool spawned right next to me and as i cast my fishing pole i missed, i cast it agian! and missed... on the 3rd recast i finally landed on the very edge of the pool and hoped that it would be enough to catch me the last tasties i needed but to my despair!

Aye many a men would have been happy with this catch this early on a sunday, but i was after something else that day. The clock raced along with my increasing heart rate. My 39th tasty came soon after that and as i threw my pole for what i thought would be the last time this morning

Nooo my heart sank! My palms sweating! This pool had betrayed me and i thought all was lost as i caught yet another one...

It was under a minute later that a pool magically appeared before my very feet! As sent from the gods it was. I now had the 40 fish i needed but time was of the essence as with trembling hands, I frantically pulled out my heartstone and started to summon!

Luckily i had set my heartstone at the Booty Bay Inn the day in advance so i was well prepared for the journey having practiced the run from the Inn for what seemed like a million times. My bags heavy from the fresh catch of still soaking wet fish, I ran with all my might towards the keeper of my long awaited award! It was as i feared a minute before i arrived a winner had been announced and i knew that this was my last chance of getting the ring for an entire week! I fumbled to select my prize as the sweat poured from my vary brow

Atlast i made it! Basking in the glory I had never felt such a thrill from the hunt or fishing! Opening my bags i layed my eyes upon it.... my own... my precious!

I've had some extreme luck fishing, so much so that I've had people offer to pay me GOOD GOLD to fish for them.

Anyhow, I recently started a new 19 twinks and while I don't need the fishing hat, I want it for cosmetic reasons. Last week I decided to fish for the 1st time in 6+ months. Here is my pull:

I am not used to being shut out, so I tried again this past weekend... I didn't take a screenshot, but i pulled in 163 Tasty Fish, 1 Brownell, and 2 more queenfish. I also had 40 fish before the 1st place winner was announced, but my hearth was not set to BB and I was not close to a flight path, so I continued on. I have 5-6 BoA rings on my account anyhow.

I probably won't fish again on that toon since I am going to level it from 19 to 24 soon.

So today i was planning on going after Hook of the Master Angler - Item - World of Warcraft the final piece i needed for my underwater AB getaways.

The morning started out with rigorous prepations in the form of good luck charms being summoned and placed to appease the mighty fishing RNG gods.

It seemed that i had won the gods favor and i was off to a magnificent start!

The pools were plentiful but the competition was fierce!
My countless attempts of /shoo seemed to have little effect on the masses of 90s swooping down ontop of me as soon as a pool would spawn.

As the clock ticked and my catch swell, my heart pounding i was a mere 5 fish away from the prize that i was after!

When the moment i had been dreading occurred!
A winner was annouced my dreams were crushed, my heart sank but my will did not fail me and i refused to give up, the 2nd place was still up for grasp!

2 minutes later i arrived in Booty Bay, atleast i wouldnt be leaving empty handed!
