Farming Sage's Gear

So I am looking to farm the Sage's gear, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? For now I am going to farm the rares in Arathi Highlands, Stonetalon Mountains, Northern Stranglethorn and Hillsbrad Foothills. It seems that both bracers and gloves drops of lvl 28-31 rares, and from gnomer mobs.

Will ofc farm AH at the same time, and I've seen like 3x Owl gloves, Eagle Bracers, Monkey gloves etc, so I think they drop quiet often?

Yeh I'm already running gnomer 5 times an hour for Rings, so imma just farm while waiting to enter more instances :)

You've seen them drop or you've seen them on the AH? Just because you saw a few items on the AH, doesn't mean that you have a better chance of farming 1 or some of those items.

You have to imagine the numbers here are exponentially higher in a situation like this. World drops with random enchants are much more difficult to farm. You would be better off using that time to stalk AH's.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you luck.

I've been stalking AH on Ravencrest A and Draenor H, and over the past week I've seen 10x Sage's Gloves with different enchant and even more bracers.
All I'm saying is that the actual gloves/bracers seem to drop a lot from whaterver mobs they drop off (Gnomer/rares), but as you said the enchant I want would be really hard to grind.

BUT! This just came across my mind, if I farmed all rares in one zone on a char below lvl 55, and then realm hopped with a DK, I would be able to get a lot more rares, IF I were to farm the items that way :)

I would suggest that farming Gnomer/checking AH is infinitely quicker than relying on rare mobs/chests.

Sage's Gloves have a 3% chance to drop from Thermaplugg which is equivalent to looting 15 chests.. also a chance to drop from most normal mobs. With Gnomer there's a chance of picking up the super rares, Hotshots, Petros etc

have a pair gloves of intellect if you need on draenor horde!

medo!
PM'ed you

Well the rare mobs that I looked up on Wowhead had 4% drop chance, and you can kill as many as you want in an hour :) But I will run gnomer as many times as possible, but while waiting I might as well use my time to farm rares :)

Not sure whether you meant to quote me here Snack. Good luck with the glove hunt :)

i farmed them myself some time ago. i went for the rares you were telling about (no ah). it took me 2-3 weeks to get all the stuff (no server hopping).
gl with that!

Just got the int ones from medo (<3), eagle gloves from AH and stamina bracers from Ravencrest AH in one hour :D Guess I'll skip the farming ;)

I find that the only real problem with farming these things is Eagles never seem to drop for me.
