Played wow since vanilla, done my fair share of realm first and pvping however I have hit that point where wow is utter crap as Im sure most of you now have and dont want to cash out on it anymore but I do get the craving to play still.

I've twinked all the way through the expansions in all sorts of brackets but I feel F2P is now the thing best suited for me.

What classes dominate at 20/which ones suck?

Im also looking for a guild of mature decent people where I can get in from work, log in on vent and do some premades have a blast. Any suggestions for this - EU BTW.

There's no guilds in F2P.

Also, don't roll an OP class, they kill the bracket.
 
Hunters, rogues, boomkin/feral druids, and warriors are all pretty good right now. I would urge you though to roll a healer that's what the bracket needs most. If you do roll a healer go resto Druid or holy pally cuz cloth wearers get obliterated (except 24 shadow priests).
 
BG's atm are trashed, (at least for US, im assuming for EU as well).

Only thing really worth doing is arenas, so I would find a realm where they do arenas on a consistent/regular basis. This is also some inspiration to continue a guide that I was working on that explains f2p twinking to people who are veterans of wow/twinking and also people who are new o it.
 
Warriors are very fun right now but it wouldn't surprised if they get nerved at some point since warrior twinks have long been gimped.

Only if they pop you first tho :p if you play rogue auto sap macros are essential. You can find one on [MENTION=6446]Mocha[/MENTION]'s guide.

If you've never played F2P before, then people telling you that battlegrounds are terrible won't help much. You won't have the past experience to compare it with. If you walked into a battleground for the first time right now, it would be "normal" for you, and every beneficial change in the future from your perspective will be a boost, whereas for all the older jaded players it will be going back to closer to their own "normal". In other words, don't be daunted by what others tell you about the quality of the games. I still win about half my games. Whatever advantages the other team has, your team can have too. Just play smart.

There is a sticky thread on this forum that will tell you the active EU servers and guide you to their recruitment pages. Although there are not guilds in F2P, the F2P addon makes each server like its own guild, just with open enrollment. Each server has its own personality, and the population is pretty similar to a small guild. Get the addon, the FAQ will tell you how or you can look at my old guide found here.

Hunters ====> Dominate
Druids=====> Dominate
Warriors(withuot Fury spec/Fury sucks)====> Dominate
Rogues====> Dominate

Well let me tell you that 24 hunters can detect a 20 so easily.

Strong classes - arms/protwar, rogues (ambush for like 1k+ f2p, 1.6+ p2p), hunters, prot/hpal, boomkin
Underpowered- afflic lock (dots suck at this lev), fury war (would lose to most classes if they autoattacked), fire mage (too much setup for what you get)

Classes that would be good to roll that have potential- frost/arc mage (control those rogues)
Disc/holy priest ( sure its a clothie but a well seasoned healer can manage alright)
Ele/rsham (ele has nice dmg but the heals are terrible, rsham is nice under command of a good healer)
Destro/demo lock (rogue bait but if you like lock theu can put out nice dmg and burst)
Guardian druid (fun for fcing or a different play of feral)

Also be on the lookout for 24s/p2p, many of them aren't very good, but there's also many who knowwhat they are doing. Spriests are the most common 24s followed by hunters rogues and druids. Most 24s that are those classes are mediocre but put out insane damage.

As far as guilds go, for f2p your server acts as a kind of guild. Download f2paddon from curse, this lets all f2p on serv to talk in a chat among other things. Was already said but aggramar horde and twisting nether ally

Its fun when you are the only one being visible in 15v15.

I imagine that he meant utter crap at the end game, and when you're paying to play. I also wouldn't pay to play end game, but I think F2P is great as a diversion that I can dive into or leave sitting for lengths of time without feeling like I've completely fallen out of competition.

Anyway, another point for the OP: Get Battleground Targets, the most useful addon in the world for battlegrounds. It tells you which of your opponents are 24 (in-game shows everyone as 24 now) and you can see all their classes, specs, and health.
