Warning about f2p dks * unconfirmed

Tonight I made a Death Knight (Tauren) on AP Horde, same realm as my Mage/Hunter/Lock twinks, all well geared.

About 140 minutes into the DK, my internet stopped working entirely, for a minute or two, router/modem messed up or something, *Not a normal DC.

But anyway, when I tried to get back onto Aerie Peak, it's all extremely buggy, but basically I can't get into the realm at all, 0 access for any of my characters.
I've shut everything down and waited etc etc. All that, remains the same.

I tested it on a realm I had no characters on, with a NORMAL DC, I still had access to the realm, so it is evidently only for internet-shutoff etc.

The DK I was working on was called
"Phrondk", and when I search that on WoW base, I get no results.
With all my other DKs, a name-search pulled them up as inactive, but nonetheless there.

So yes, this is just based on my experience as of 24 / 8 / 13
May be different for you.

Tl;DR STERN WARNING - MAKE DEATH KNIGHTS ON REALMS YOU HAVE NO CHARACTERS ON, JUST INCASE...

I highly doubt this bug will reappear again. When MoP came live, starter accounts also were given access to WoTLK content (access to Northrend/Dalaran, etc.), and I strongly believe this bug was a (though unintentional) part of upping starter accounts to WoTLK from BC.

Mhmm your theory does sound right, doesn't explain why you could only do it on a Brazil server though. Guess time will tell! Thanks for the insight though.

Was Nemesis the only server that it worked on? Some of the Brazilian servers are pretty new. Maybe Gallywix would have worked too; who knows?

From research I did, it worked on most if not all Brazilian servers. I personally don't have a GF'd DK, but i'm asking the question as too why Brazilian servers? I personally think DK's will be un-GF'd. As for when? Who knows, guess we just have to try when 5.4 hits or randomly try to make a DK on every server...

Took a few days but the entire realm became unlocked, didn't look into it too much so /idk - but glad it sorted itself out. I still lost my DK progress though, which is always a bummer

Just thought I better wrap things up to clarify.
