There is no difference between level 1 or level 60.


If the scaling continues the way it is now we will have to redo atleast half of our enchantments.

In short most TBC enchants are now the best enchants for level 60's as they scale a lot less than WotLK ones.

THIS INFORMATION IS BASED ON CURRENT PTR 5.4

Boots:
Icewalker --> Surefooted - Currently 12/12 Crit/Hit on Icewalker and 10/10 on Surefooted, on PTR it's 4/4 and 8/8.
Greater Fortitude--> Fortitude, 0 Currently 22 Sta vs. 12 Stamina - On PTR 8 vs. 9

Pants:
Classic ZG Enchant has obviously stayed the same and is now the best enchant to use.
Nethercleft Leg Armor is now +15 Stamina +6 Agility

Chest:
Enchant Chest: +11 Stamina is 110 health plus the stamina buff you get from your spec (assuming you are prot)
Exceptonial Stats: +4 All stats is the best +stats enchant available, all other +stats enchantments for chest are either 2 or 3.
Exceptional Mana: +188 Mana
Enchant Chest: Dodge (+14), this is now better than Greater Dodge (+8)

Cloak:
Enchant Cloak - Dodge (+12 Dodge) higher than Greater Dodge and Major Dodge
Enchant Cloak - Stealth is now arguably the best enchant for cloaks for Agi DPS (+8, + Stealth), otherwise it's Enchant Cloak - Greater Agility (which is now +9)
Enchant Cloak - Might Stamina (+9 Stamina), better than Protection enchantments.

Gloves:
Major Strength - Still +15 Strngth
Major Agility - Still +15 Agility
Major Spellpower - +15 SP

Looks like a new bis for caster weapons(Soulfrost/Sunfire is better for specific magic schools):
Enchant Weapon - Major Spellpower - Spell - World of Warcraft / Enchant Weapon - Major Healing - Spell - World of Warcraft (30sp normaly and must be 40sp in bgs)

Boots:

Enchant Boots - Boar's Speed - Spell - World of Warcraft (7 stam normally and 9 in bg)

Can continue that list but lets wait for 5.4 release and see :) I have to change many enchants on my 60s :|

Yep specific Spellpower enchants are worth getting again now.

I thinkt here'll be a few changes, an enchant called Greater Assault should be better than an enchant called Lesser Assault on every level, else it won't make much sense.

I also tried the BoA shoulder enchants, but they still require level 80, I hope they change that.
 
BoA as bis on 60... oh god :mad:

Actually the +10 Stamina shoulder enchant doesn't seem to be affected by the scaling.

Nor the +10 All stats.

The shoulder enchants scale very badly though so I doubt a pair of BoA shoulders will end up being BiS.

Scryer Shoulder enchants:
of the Blade, +10 Crit, Greater +11 Crit, +15 AP
of the Knight +10 Dodge, Greater +11 Parry +8 Dodge
of the Orb, +10 Crit Greater, +11 Crit, +9 SP
of the Oracle +9 Spirit, Greater: +12 Spirit, +8 Int

Aldor:
of Discipline, +11 SP, Greater, +14 SP+8 Crit
of Faith. +11 SP, Greater, +11 Int, +8 Spirit
of Vengeance Greater, +22 AP, +8 Crit
of Warding +10 Dodge, Greater, +11 Dodge, +11 Stamina

WotLK shoulder enchants:
of the Storm: +9 SP, +6 Crit
of the Crag, +8 Int, +6 Spirit
of the Pinnacle, +8 Dodge, +8 Stamina

Does this effectively render gem gear obsolete?

I will check what stats my gems have now (probably the same as 70s).

Either way, most gear with higher stats and not depending on gems/enchants will be better off.
 
They're down from 20 to 8 for me. IIRC gem gear wasn't particularly effective/superior UNTIL WotLK hit. I don't recall it being used much during TBC. I think we're back to vanilla armor/weapons + TBC/Vanilla enchants being ideal.

Yup, saw Stamina went to +9 as well.

BoA's are going to win this round, which is awful cause I'm so not going to use them at 60.
 
I'd like to know what weapon enchant you use for Warrior, obviously Crusader would be best for AP and possible also for tanking (since it adds more parry than the other weapon enchant).

I tried Blood Draining and it works pretty well in raids, when you get 10k hits from Emperors and the stacks immediately heal you for 1k-1.5k it can be lifesaving if healers don't pay attention.

I haven't tried Blade Ward yet.
 
i think my priest and warrior are now properly enchanted if anyone needs a template.

Chest enchant tooltip shows incorrect info. 10 stats are only gives you 4 stats, so its its just a tooltip bug (tried on few 60s and stats boost is always just 4).
Enchant Chest - Superior Stamina - Item - World of Warcraft maybe the best choice (gives 11 stam on 60 and more in bg).

About wrists/gloves enchants for casters: i prefer 24 stam over nearly everything simply because its the only non nerfed enchant and its really boost your hp. This is (imo) better than 10-16 sp or 11 str in most cases. Old wotlk 40 stam on wrists gives only 15 stam now on 60, so sometimes i pick 15 sp instead, or just pick stam on both wrists+gloves as a healer. Not really sure about my choice simply because we dont have any bgs here :(
 
Also after looking at the wep enchants, wouldnt something like colussus be better than crusader/mongoose? after it creates that sheild, it would provide a nice chunk that heals would not need to deal with. since most twink guilds (from what I can tell after roaming this website) seem to be running 15-30 people per raid. The tanks dps dosnt seem like it would be an issue. Also this could just be my personnal oppinion b.c of the way my toon is set up. I'm stacked in sp/int as a prot pally doing 1.3k-2.5k dps. Which i feel is more than acceptable

Weapon enchants is much harder decision now for 60. As a melee dps i would like to pick Dancing Steel for my shaman (enh spec) and rogue. Reason? It have very predictable proc in early seconds of fight. Havent started my experiments with them yet because of high prices on my realm (2-4k each on ah). But as str user i still like Crusader because it makes your character one step closer to original 60, which is good in my opinion :)

As for tanking enchants Crusader is still viable because of +parry chance from 100str and very little heal. Havent tried the others yet :( Going to try solo something (that way its easier to notice what exactly happens with your character without any support).

Just transferred another guild to my realm to buy t3 on the last two remaining 60s without any piece.

Wait when you say buy t3 you are talking about the black market right? Or am I completely left in the dark atm and is there some sort of vanilla server out there. I've been out of the 60 game for a while and im unsure of any sweet new nonsense that might be out.

(I think I would implode if my pally got himself a T3 item >_<
