Someone Please Help With Resto Druid

Okay, I know Resto Druid isn't hard to play, but the bars just have me so confused. The fact that they change anyways. I'm just curious what everyone else has their buttons bound to. Essentially, I need to be able to cast every spell from cat or bear form, and I need to do dps in cat, to do the most dps. That being said, why the FUCK do I have a caster bar? Screen shots would be much appreciated.

are you serious?

Do you use bartender/any other addons? Instead of my main actionbar changing with form, I have my shift modifiers change. At this level I typically only use those for focus/mouseovers or firing off lifeblood/berserking with casts, so I can live without them not being immediately accesible in cat/bear form.

No, I don't. I used to do very small tournaments, just for e-peen when I played end game arenas, and addons weren't allowed, so I always played without.

And to the guy that asked if I was serious. Yes, I'm serious, obviously. I bet you're REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY good at this game, aren't you? Like 2.5k rated?

EDIT: Thank you very much swoops, I greatly appreciate it. Forgot to thank you due to a random low rated kid trying to flex.

Haha you caught it before I fixed the second cat form SS :p.

But yeah, without bartender I'd just use character specific binds on your druid and switch all your main ones to a different bar.

Lol. But, what I'm saying is, is to completely micro manage a druid, you have 0 buttons on your caster bar, as you need to be able to cast even wrath in certain instances from forms... I think I'm just over thinking it and trying to micro manage too hard...

What you are experiencing with the bars changing is called "action bar paging" and it can be really confusing, especially if using Bartender or Domino type addons to manage action bars (they can take a lot of set-up to get working right). This goes double for druids who have the default bar, a cat bar, bear bar, a cat stealth bar,, et, al. Basically things get silly real quick if you don't set it up right.

What you want is use the number keys for the abilities that can be used in the form which bar is currently up when you're in that form (if that makes any sense), i.e. put the abilities that can be used from cat form stealth on your cat from steath bar (the bars change when you change forms). Don't make no goddam sense to put your stealth opener on your moonkin bar.

Then if you haven't already go into Interface>ActionBars, and turn on all your bars. These are the bars that don't page, so what you're want to do first is go into Keybindings and first bind your A and D keys to strafe, not turn (S and F if using ESDF movement). Then scroll all the way down to MultActionBar Bindings and bind the keys something like this:

Once you've done that start assigning abilities that you can use all the time on these new keybinds, put the ones that you use the most on the keys closest to your movement keys; abilities on long cooldowns, should be the farthest away, and so on. Keep going until you have a binding for every ability. It's okay to put abilities on more than one bar, just drag another copy from your spellbook.

No one's hands are the same, so everybody's keybindings are going to be a little different — someone else's pro setup may not work for you. I suggest experimenting with WASD, ESDF, and other movement key combinations and find out what works for you.

p.s. I know my binding don't make any sense, I changed my bindings from ESDF to WASD for the picture.
