So my co owner didnt let me get a picture of us out front he said we can do it tonight (I think he wants to be dressed up)

First Horror story and not open for a week. A grandma and grandpa come in with a group of 5-6 kids all under 12, I speak up asking them nicely to make sure to keep an eye on the kids as this isnt a toy store. The grandpa came up to me and said that if I have a attitude like that I wont keep business.....I agreed and apologized the kids continued to run around looking at the Board Games and Comics......well one kid pushed another into a table full of comics, the legs of the table gave out falling onto the kid who ended up with a broken leg.....as the table fell the grandma screamed and threw her soda onto a pile of original art..............

Long story short since it happened in our store our insurance will cover the broken leg, but were out Original Art that could easily be worth a couple hundred-thousand depending on how big the comic book artist gets



Edit: The Grandpa wouldnt look me in the eye as they left, I bet he felt stupid

We posted a sign stating that kids under 12 and under must be attended by a adult. We also posted a "You Break it You Buy It" sign, that original Art was a huge loss as it was given to us by the artist who did our custom playmats, he just got a job at Marvel Comics
