Cross Realm WPvP Event #3

I'm not saying you're wrong, because something might have changed, but, my P2P career started on the day WoW was released, and I played my main character on a PvP server until just after WotLK was released, and you did not take a dura hit from dying in PvP of any kind. If another player scored the blow that killed you, you did not take a dura hit from dying. As far as I know, that hasn't changed since WotLK.

It is also true that every time you swing your weapon, in PvP or PvE, your gear takes a little durability from -use-. Likewise your gear takes a little durability from taking damage. That's just equipment wear, and has always been true for all forms of combat. We're talking about the 10% durability hit from dying, though, which only applies if you die from a non-PvP source.

Hm. You might actually be right. I've noticed the penalty in Garbushi Arena though so i did abit of research. Apparently pet hits and fall damage still causes the 10% penalty. Beyond that i don't know.

Anyway I feel like I've helped pull the conversation off track, so back on topic, since I'm hoping to do Gnomeball this Saturday either before or after the WPvP event, I may try to make it for the main event as well, so sign me up Kochist. I had done some extensive research on a particular area that is extremely safe and extremely well-suited for large-scale combat, but doesn't necessarily meet your request for high LOS opportunities. I also did some scenario research in Zul'Gurub a while back (posted about it in another thread) but then abandoned the idea after learning about getting ported out and across the map. I'm pretty impressed that you've managed to turn something that I saw as a dealbreaker into an actual advantage! If you want to compare notes some time, let me know.

Bwl horde or ally dethecus

ill take my balance druid this time i suppose
kibbies / horde / anetheron

my vote goes to seradane

also as a suggestion, Caer Darrow (the scholomance enterance) is a nice island that doesnt often get visited by high levels in wpl and is devoid of mobs in that section. it has outer walls, buildings on the inside, and a half broken keep which can be used quite well. the only mob that can spawn is a level 40 rare in the keep but its easily dealt with, even by f2ps, and wouldnt spawn again for awhile

I think we could do both Caer Darrow and Seradane. Since they are nearby could start the event at one then run to the other for a second battle.

Once you decide on the location, what are the ideas about:
Splitting teams?
Objectives?
Will we use vent or skype for communication?
I know it's early but I'd like to know any ideas for the event.
Also, are monks with f2p restrictions allowed?

monks are fine, still thinking about objectives.

Count me in for this !
Also, i can come on tank, dps , or heals, whichever is in need to make the teams balanced. ;)

Coilfang Alliance - Yseult

This time I should make it. >_<
