example of current gear scaling 71-74, curious if on PTR?

if there is anyway off checking to see if gear scaling stays the same?

also curious if anyone has any SS's on the PTR of a 70 vs 71-74 when it comes to ench/gem scaling?

OT: I'll check PTR in terms of scaling, ( if a experience BG pops ) Regardless, I'm still siding with my comment on the older thread. Don't see a problem with 74s, and 75 is out of the 'popular bracket'. Have only met a handful that twink past 75.

the scaling that i (and i suspect the OP too) am referring to is the 70 to 74 scaling on live servers, not the 5.4 enchant/gem scaling.

Read the thread title and OP's question, and then my post.

Anyway, the scaling doesn't make that significant of a difference down at 70-74 ( Unlike in comparison to 75+ ). Most noticeable being the base damage on weapons. 74s aren't at a disadvantage at all, they shouldn't need a gear boost if they already have the same base statistics everyone is raised to.

In terms of enchants and gem scaling, the chart in particular on the second post will show a rough estimate of scaling on the PTR. 70s scaling to BC in arenas & world, however whilst in a battleground, we scale up to wrath, given players get raised to 74.

This also means, while in world should you pass 70 and level beyond 71, gems and enchants will reflect what Wrath are ( and currently )

after the starting zones, i have recently leveled 4 DKS in BGs to ensure they had the honor to insta pop PVP gear at 70 and this is what they all looked like from 70-74 and 75-80. i leveled them in BGs all the way to 80, no quests other than to get one blue ring and XP was off when that was done.

gear scaling when you level in BGs is noticeable in the 70-74 bracket, you would see the decline especially by the time you hit 74.....it's noticeable. so much, it was the reason i posted the original thread

gear at 70 in BG's as seen in the SS,s is i-level 175ish, gear at 74 is i-level 159, and is noticeable. the base stats you gain each level from 70 thru 74 do not make up for the scaling decline

the OP is obviously asking about gear scaling, not enchant/gem scaling.
