60 Solo-ing?

Stale

Legend
Hey guys,

I've recently gotten interest in solo-ing stuff on my paladin (60, classic geared + TBC enchants), the biggest problems so far seem to be the trash as they hit harder than bosses, have more annoying abilities than bosses (mainly silence is annoying) and well, I tend to overpull now and then.

So far I've solo'd trash in AQ10 and General Rajaxx (with Lieutenant buff), tried Moam, which I got to 60% quite easily until those Mana thingies show up.

Would it be possible to solo anything else, Buru maybe? Or are AQ10 bosses almost on par to any of the other bosses?

In MC you can solo Magmadar, Luzifron and Shazzarah i think.
Last patch i was able to solo Skeram in AQ40.

Also as Paladin I assume?

But you'll need someone to clear the trash for that, which is kind of dissapointing. I could kill the Fire Elementals, (if I manage to pull only one) but with bigger groups instant fail.

General Rajaxx trash is also extremely annoying, if I miss one attack (and holy power) I die.

I soloed Skeram with my Warrior. I gonna try these MC bosses someday with my warrior too, but as far as i know they got soled by a paladin.

So basically surviving by high HP pool and second wind?

Haven't tried anything with my warrior yet, might be worth a shot.

ok that is a question from completely other side, but Im planning on small project and I want to know a bit about MC and i think 60s section is the best.
1. Can I kite Lucifron?
2. Can I kill the 2 adds, let boss reset and it will reset with 2 new or alone?
3. how much damage lucifron deals and how much HP he has?
4. Is he ranged?
Thanks in advance,
Crystal

1. On a hunter you can. But he's unslowable/stringable.
2. Adds respawn if boss doesn't die and you go out of combat.
3. No idea. Curse does only 2k, and should happen each minute if you can't decurse.
4. His magical spells are ranged, so even with Aspect you'd probably be dazed and die.

What's the minimum nr of players you could do a full aq40 run with? by 60s i mean

Back in Wrath of the Lichking we did every single encounter with 10 people. In terms of equipment everything was allowed. Although we were mostly seasoned raiders (that had there share of server firstkills and where in guilds ranked 150-300 in the world) we needed 2 month (a raid per week, we still had raids with our mains) to do them all. Sure, everything up to aq40 was done in a week, but Huhuran (1week), the Twins (3weeks) and good old C'thun (3weeks) took their time. I don't know wheather lvl 60 chars got stronger or not, because I don't play since wotlk anymore, but I guess those three encounters still set the bar, in terms of "how many people do we need".

Huhuran quite simple, you just need potions, a disc priest, a druid and a good amount of damage for the enrage.
The twins where still the tricky tank encounter, that you where used to in classic. With 10 there are also kinda a damage encounter, while you still have to maintain the aggro on the right guys. As soon you have one try where everything works out and the tanks did'nt lose aggro they where down.
C'thun is harsh, but in another way than he was. We had 2 teams with 5 people, where the main problem where to maintain enough damage on the spawns, while noone was allowed to die in the stomach. We never found out how the stomach damage worked, but I think mana classes get quite a lot more damage down there, that a prot warrior, who could easely could kill one tentakle on its own, while other classes had to run not to die there.

Even with stronger casts, health and heals I'd say ... 8-9 are still required.

Twins were simplified a lot since then and C'Thun's stomache works for everyone now (during TBC level 70 casters died within 2 seconds there).

We also got huge ability and stats boosts during Cataclysm and if you asked me the same question then I would've said 6-8 players, probably even before 5.4 Arrived with enchantment scaling. We lost quite a bit of health, SP and AP because of that patch, though I still think you could pull it off with 8 players.
