I feel like blizzard has done something without telling us all, recently I have gotten 3 pairs of mind thrust in the last 2 weeks and 2 blackened defias gloves, I swear they have increased the drop rate of some items or maybe even brought back some grandfathered ones at the same time.

i saw mindthrust and magefist gloves drop a few days ago i have them on my mage if you want to check it out.
so in the space of 2 days i have had 1x mtb 1x magefist 1x shadowfang
