I had a go at a crit build shaman, but I found out two things about them.

1) I seem the lack the pewpew to take anyone down fast enough. Will it make a big difference once I get a spell power mace?

2) I suck at being a caster from years of being melee and shamans not having brain dead ways of keeping people away.

Any advice would be more than well come. I'm still working on it because there are a few piece I'm still trying to get.

Your main source of damage is lightning bolt and fulmination. Without high stacks on lightning shield you dont have that much burst to put on the table.

You will get used to it in time.

only boots nd 2nd ring one lacks tho.

Stendels and Cobrahn´s boots are a solid choice. With the Mace Exp, you can make up for the hit loss from Serpentis´ Gloves which can be replaced with Sparkproof Gloves who also have....spirit. I didn´t think this really through before i wrote this. But in the end, Horde is better for Shamans overall. But since this is ally... I don´t know how valuable int actually is for Ele shams.

yes true. Serpentis isnt bis for any dps class.
yes there are debateable choices, ofc you could get more crit with items like cobrahns nd stendels but ud lose 16 int which is quite heavy.

I acrually prefer int aslong as I stay above 18-19% crit due to the fact that you will still crit alot and with the ele passive int scales very good when you crit.

All in all a balanced set is what I'd recommend.
Oh, and the reason Serpentis isnt bis for dps is that Magefist is better. You don't see em every day but they are there in the shadows among the other debateable BiS's.

The only time I even considered making an ally ele sham is when spell hit was broken and with all the alli stam/int/spirit gear, eyepatch, rune of perf, and boa shield, getting close to broken hit cap would have been pretty easy.

noooooooo
boa shield and hit bug hasnt existed at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback, i haven´t touched Shamans in quite some time.
Lakeshire Gloves can also be used if you want the combination of Crit and Int as Ally. Ideally, you can use Lavishly Jeweled Ring if you want easy hit and int and also opens a slot to stack crit in. God i love theory crafting.

Im rather happy with my gear, haste gives u faster fulmination build up and shorter heals in tight situation, herb buff helps a lot here 2...

Well we could argue all night about this but I need to get some sleep before work so I'll leave you with this.
Theres a different set for every situation.

So i perused some comments and no: you dont want a max crit stack on ally. above comments are a bit inaccurate as ally is actually missing gloves, boots, ring, bracer, shield.

This is the armory you want: Dtb @ Aerie Peak - Community - World of Warcraft

My sham is missing one or two pieces to have every possible set up, but this is very close to a min/max hitcap, all the reasonable sources of crit, and close to max int. Trinks are preference, but id go 2x resil or 2x int in most situations.
