Me and Henchx were around 2450 mmr with a close to 100% w/l without me having synapse so yea its viable, problem is you get hardcountered by prot/priest if they have an IQ above 8

it is possible, mage is still a strong class. You need Fotm Teammates than you can get easy r1.

Prot Pala, Hunter, Rogue are counter classes but the most of them are not very good.
