<Forcast> is recruiting all avid & nostalgic players of the Wotlk era. We also participate in the 70 bracket & 80 bracket and sometime in the future the 85 bracket.
Our Goal & Mission - Forcast is dedicating itself to be one of the most successful "purist" twink guilds there is to offer in MoP & hopefully in the future. I've personally been a part of 2 of the same kind for both the BC bracket named revival & one in the more recent evocative. We strive to do this in the 70, 80, and 85 bracket. We intend to be mainly PvE focused but we will certainly not discourage PvP as long as it does not get in the way of PvE.

We are a group from the previous guild champions of ulduar who have tried & tried again and we're looking to give it all we've got this time to propose what we had started back in 2011. That goal was to clear every raid of both 10 & 25m in both hard/heroic mode as well as normal mode while keeping a tight knit community who was both skilled & personable.
We are located on Mal'Ganis Horde - US. We are accepting temporary part time cross-realm members but they must obey all gear rules & are not guranteed a spot no matter the experience they have with us. They only way we gurantee a spot in our raids is if you are in the guild on the server Mal'Ganis. At that point we will do everything we can to make sure we have a spot for you in our raid, but as with every guild keep in mind not every spot is 100% guranteed, but your chances are MUCH much higher. This will not be an issue until the later stages of the guild when we start hitting that boundary between 10 to 25m transition. Before then & afterwards this will mean nothing unless it is farm content.
I know that last one was alot to take in & maybe a bit confusing, but hopefully you understood it all. Now lets get down to what you can expect from us as a whole.
Current Gear Rules
~ What you can expect from us ~
- A skilled group of both veteran & although not currently new players.
- As we expect from everyone we strive to be the best of our class & role. We encourage min/maxing but we are by no means a Blood legion or DREAM Paragon counterpart. We just expect you to pull what we know what you can pull, not half, not a quarter.
- We try our best to provide professions but the early stages of the guild will not be easy. We will expect everyone to have some form of professions & working on them at least for one character but after we get running on the treadmill we will start providing everyone with flasks/gems. Pots will be on your own unless we see a reason to start handing them out.
~ What we expect from you ~
- We expect you to attend 90% of the raids with minimal downtime during these. We will schedule breaks during these in which you will have time to grab a snack/drink & use the bathroom or handle any other minor disturbances. These will not be times for you to go out & walk your dog, clean your garage or make a lengthy call to customer support.
- We know real life things happen, and we understand. We don't expect you to make every single raid as I stated 90%, but if you happen to have these things occur on a regular basis then we either need to unfortunately demote you to part time or find something that works for the team.
- As noted above we intend to be a group of skilled players, so we expect you to participate like one. We expect you to pull your weight in your role. From healing, to dpsing, to even tanking. Its ok if your spec isn't topping the charts, we just don't want to see a huge % gap between your damage & the next highest up damage unless theres a paticular reason for that (death, mechanic, etc)
- We expect you to know & be ready to use both of your specs. We understand mostly everyone has a preferred spec they want to play mainly. Some nights they don't feel like playing one spec. In order for us to accomadate to that we must be able to do the appopriate switches & make sure its not progression. On progression we prefer everyone to play their main specs unless we run into specific changes in the encounter where it may only require 1 tank, or 3 tanks, or 2 healers or 3 healers. Perhaps your needed to kite something, we would need you to do so & be at least prepared to accept the responsibilities.
Recruitment Needs
These will be updated weekly every Mon/Tues. They will reflect what we currently are able to raid with & not leveling/transfers/cross realm.
So you want to join? How?
One of which ways is to send a tell to someone in the guild (Forcast - Mal'Ganis - US). We would be more than happy to have you a part of the guild & will help you in which ways possible.
Another way is to add my battletag Vynlann#1183. I normally log on daily but there may be times when I'm not. Keep in mind if I do not add your battletag immediately I will asap. There are rare cases in which I will certainly just decline someones battletag invite.
You can also post here on the thread & I will send you a PM to try & get in contact with you. 99% of the time though its normally easier to get in contact with me as it will allow me to find out what works for you.
Now that you've seen what we're about, will you be able to meet our raid times?
Update As of 10/21/13
~ Our raid times for any brackets are not set in stone. As with any guild I run I want to make sure the people apart of them are able to participate on the same days. For this reason at the start we will not establish set in stone raid times but we will still attempt to raid as soon as possible. In champions of ulduar we cleared 1/4 of naxx & OS on a weekly basis with 3-5 people. Not challenging raids but we make an effort to make sure we can do something every week ~
~ Raid days go for the same ~
If you have any questions or would like to just leave your comment below please do with maturity & respect. We understand our values are not the same as everyone elses but we at least respect everyone elses & would like the same from our fellow twinkers.
Thanks for reading this giant wall of text, now I'm going to go rest my fingers. Have a delightful day/evening.
It is critical you read this quote. You will not be considered for a position if you do not obey our gear rules. They are stated below.
