I've been thinking of making a Shaman for a while now. I was just wondering.. with the release of BoA Shields would it best to:

Get the Eyepatch (over shield) and use the BoA shield

or

Stick with LFH and use the Stockades Shield ?

Any input would be much appreciated!

Restro or Elem? Elemental has a talent where spirit is converted to hit so you should easily make the hit cap.. ie eyepatch not needed per se.

Stockade shield in battlegrounds scale from 6 stamina 4 int 4 spirit (6/4/4) to 7/5/5, while the BoA shield only scales to 7/4/4 (stam/int/spirit). Stockade shield armor may also be better, but I can't confirm that myself yet.

Since 1 spirit=1 hit for ele, a ele can just hit-cap in battlegrounds with hit trinket and stockade shield.


As for restro, assuming one wants to hit-cap for purges (for, say, denying a enemy rdruid from casting swiftmend), hit trinket + Drakewing Bands work.

If you ever think of going enhance (maybe in another patch when it doesnt suck anymore) i would take eyepatch and heirloom shield.
