So, Ore, how did you get your start in twinking?
I actually found this bracket way back in Early BC/Vanilla which I feel embarrassed to say. So you can see I’ve been around the block a couple times. Back then I actually played on Shattered Hand it happened like it always starts, a level 36 warrior in greys chilling outside Org and suddenly these kids/ “Tinks” with fishing hats are running around with glowing sticks think they are hot shit. So I looked at a couple videos and what do you know, there’s a whole community underground hidden in the shadows of World of Warcraft. Only problem was I Hated gearing like everyone else & I hated to loose although I wasn’t good. So I kept playing kept quitting etc... Rest a assure I finally gave the bracket a last chance and made my Priest Pharmacyy the one I really hit on the nail with gear. So I thought that’s all I needed in my mind it was time to start premading. I made Pharmacyy on Bleeding Hollow once I heard this new guild named Waw Tawent needed numbers. So I spoke to TomuchHp got denied Spoke to I believe Camo, he was cool (Denied me nicely) until one day this kid name Pizza asked me to premade/ group queue for them cause they were down in numbers. Went terribly, quit instantly. Couple months later got into the game again then found this cool cat named Niteblaid/Strayf/(He had a hunter forget name xD) So I re-rolled on zul’gin and joined Border Patrol. Although right as I got there, unfortunately they died instantly. We made a new guild called Earth Wind Fire, with my character I Named ToomuchHp (fanboy status). Niteblaid knew I was terrible but he was never a teacher just a great friend that stuck by me. Now once that guild failed I said so long to Niteblaid and never seen him again. And finally coming back Once more with nowhere to go I made Rackkemup at level 1 got 2 agm’s on Bleeding hollow and he eventually blossomed into Ore with determination & Desire to win. I’ve had quite a journey and there is more but That was just the start xD
It is known to many that, after leaving WT with Beau, you made <Take Care> and then <Beantown Bullies>. How did you adjust to taking on a leadership role?
Interesting question, to finally put this to rest. I’m not sure if you’d call Beau, I & a good friend rogue (whose name I also forget xD) a guild. But for whatever reason it happened, I’m glad it did because that is around the time I ran into Kinetic, Kitn & Loveshack. Forming a common tink household name Guild known as BtB aka BeanTown Bullies, Today.
Since bringing your guild back from the dead once more, you have picked up some new members. It sounds like you're making some impact signings?
Dead is such a harsh word, more of on-going with minor adjustments to it. I’ll never die out to this bracket so I’ll make sure BtB is always on the rise also. Many guilds actually go through the same things we do, people leave some quit there is just all around duties to be fulfilled. Nethertheles, we’ve always made our mark here and there. I don’t treat this as just a one time group more of a record label, if anyone is familiar with Wu-Tang or MMG they just don’t die. Music always lives on and we sign those who won’t crumble under the spotlight, the Tinks who embrace the recognition yet stay true to themselves. Info on who we have signed recently & who we are planning to recruit in the long run unfortunately is not disclosed to the public. But you will see our Artists in action on the Battlefield Repping our tag.
Speaking of tags, what are your thoughts on <BTB Secret Mid Strat>? Do you view it as a rival to the true BtB? Or do you embrace it as a sister guild?
By all means I’ve tried to be mad at BTBSMS but personally they are like Fam, more in the cousin category since Doughboyz will soon be the kid sister. I could see a premade between the 2 forces but only out of respect. There are many other guilds we have our eyes fixated on. Fighting under the same roof was never my style so I won’t start now. In time I would like to see them toughen up though, the guild might have been developed as a sort of mockery but that’s not who they are. They have a strong group core and I wouldn’t be surprise if they knocked off some of these want-to-be kingpin Guilds now days. In all Honesty.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself in real life?
Who I am? City Boy 19 yrs. Old from Boston who never really shined In the class room but always thought there was more to it than just a pen & pencil. Just coming back from first yr. of college in Iowa, I still don’t think those teachers know what interest me. I have fun, I party I’m a nice guy & I love women, Dislike 90% of MMorpg’s, Sports & competition is my life. But once again there’s always more to something than what meets the eye. What it is? I have no clue but I know it has to do with meeting new faces and experiencing new things. Weird to think I grew up with most of the people in this bracket which keeps me coming back now and again. But I guess that’s what makes us all feel so at home.
One final question for you – what was BtB’s secret mid strat? Or is it still a secret?
First off BtB’s Mid strat wouldn’t be much of a secret if the whole world knew. Perhaps at some point one of those officers who were there that day will riddle it out. But the only rule in fight club is don’t talk about fight club. So I’m sure they’ll take it to the grave as will I.
