Scariest thing that has ever happened to you?

lokah

Legend
I was biking today when my tire literally exploded (probably ran over some glass or something) I went down a different trail and I got lost in the woods for about an hour.

Well, i was on Youtube once and this guy added a screenshot of the ''Blue screen of Death' in his video,' so i thought my pc just died...

worked in retail.

more seriously:
-a dog bit my hand, shattered finger in middle knuckle, went through nail and joint, dislocated. relocated it a few seconds after by smacking it on a table. could have been alot worse considering how strong its jaws were.

-when i was boarding in japan (still a beginner) went off a 2-3 foot kicker that i didn't scope out. 8 foot drop off the other side. into the side of a pipe that i never saw coming. Heart stopped. and i ate shit on the edge of the pipe.

-also have had a few biking incidents. namely the shoulder dropping off and forcing me to clip my dad's tire @ 22-24mph. i don't remember going down (nor did i remember it a few seconds afterwards), and still have scars on my upper-middle chest and left shoulder, not too noticeable though. suprisingly all my unicycling and mtb have yielded very minor injuries.

been pretty lucky. nothing morbid or life-threatening

Accidentally started a forest fire in some sand pit that my boys and I used to ride in. Came in through the main trail which later was blocking us in with a 10 foot tall wall of blazing hot summer fire. We were forced to evacuate through a very narrow and muddy back trail that was filled with many rocks (some even the size of boulders)--barely making it out before any unnecessary attention arrived at the scene.

Us being the young naive young teens we were, returned to the scene on our atv's to see the aftermath. We were stopped and questioned by emergency workers on scene and gave out our names and phone numbers.

The forest fire made the news and it was said the suspects were "atv enthusiasts".

I was never so paranoid to answer the phone in my life but none of us ever received a call from anyone regarding the forest fire.

When I was 16, on my way home from school riding on my scooter. Crossing this triple laned road, lights turned green for me, and all I could see was a car about 100m (320feet~) away, so without paying more attention (long day) I made my way across. Thank god that old scooter had such a long winding, because the car barely dodged my front wheel at more than 100 km (60 miles)/h, and as I looked right all I could see was the car swirling after barely hitting me.

Nothing but a few inches spared me from flying across the road that day.

Drove to the other side and stopped for a few sec to try and comprehend what had almost happened to me. In bare shock I opened my visor asking one of the guys on bike behind me if it wasn't in fact green for me? It was.

That, was truly scary.

A few years ago:
I turned my computer off and went to bed. 1-2 minutes later my headphones lying next to my computer started playing a creepy background song from Warcraft 3 (I played some before I went to bed) I went back to my computer to turn the computer off thinking something was wrong but the computer was indeed turned off. I put the headphones on my head to confirm that was the song and it was. I pulled the plug to the computer to be safe but the song kept going. I was really scared at this point but about 20 seconds later the music stopped.
To this day I have no idea how this happend.

Ive had alot of scary moments in my life but one moment sticks out in particular. I was a senior in high school, at this time I was living in Va Beach, VA (moved out there for the last few years of high school to help my chances at getting into college for football). Anyways I was over at a friends house working on something for Homecoming with the committee and they had a gas station across the street I offered to go get everyone drinks so I ran across the street and on my way back a group of 10 bloods came around the corner and began messing with me, asking why I wasnt wearing any colors. I ignored them and pushed past them to be hit in the back bye something hard dropping me. I was on the ground getting kicked over and over, everything was fuzzy after that but when I came to there was only 2 of them the rest was running away and the two of them had a gun pulled right in my face. I wasnt on the ground and my hands were hurting so it started coming back to me that I fought back. but staring at those guns I felt my hands shaking and I was doing what ever I could do not to freak out. Finally one of the guys lowered his gun tapped the other guy on the shoulder and they both took off running when I turned around there was people on the street looking at us. A guy ran over to me shortly after saying he saw the whole thing and that he had called the police. When the police showed up my friends in the house noticed the lights and they came out and saw me, that night all i could think about was what if he pulled the trigger.

A few weeks later I saw the guy who had the gun pulled on me the longest he saw me and he was alone he took off running and I ran after him, I ended up catching him and beating the crap out of him, He didnt have a gun that time but I dont know if that would have mattered I really felt my blood boiling when I saw him. After it was all said and done I felt so much better. But I will always remember that night. People always talk shit about getting guns pulled on them but they really dont understand what goes threw your mind when there is one point blank in your face. Its probably why I hate guns so much today (even though all my rl friends are obsessed with hunting and guns)

Having two kids. :p

Insane amounts of responsibility and worry.

i once beat another player in a duel and he threatend to come and beat me up irl :( i was scared.

i fell asleep leaveing the window fully open (was ill), woke up and theres a pigeon on my tv. confused and shocked i panic and throw a bottle at it, and then it goes crazy!! flying all over, shitting all over, before eventually flying into the wall and injuring itself (not so much scary more strange)

i was working in the club and one of the dirty bastards there decided he wanted to go and grope one of the strippers. i had to kick him out, at which point he said he was going to get me when i leave (happens a lot expected nothing of it) anyway as i was leaveing out the back way 3 guys come up to me and starting kicking the shit out of me!! luckily my mate (also works security there) was coming in and had seen in. so he runs over lays one guy clean out and we manage to get the upper hand..... next thing i know i hear a gun shot, i thought some 1 had been shot turns out he missed thankfully. they started running and i had to give a statement to the police etc etc. they were caught via cctv scary shit!!

i was on a lads holiday in mexico, walking home a bit too drunk i fell into a lagoon with aligators!! scared i was frozen still not far from 2 of them. one started moving rather fast towards me so i ran like a motherfucker lol. scared for my life there!!

i was round a mates house when i was 9 watching a horror film (texas chainsaw massacare original). his dad said he was off to toilet. only to leave out of the front door, jump the fence, grab his chainsaw out the shed and bang on the back window scaring the shit out of us!!! then running in the house with the chainsaw and mask on!!! scared like fuck i was, think it scared me for life :( lol. thats some amazing parenting skills right there.

i once got a girl pregnant (not trying) :(

Prolly the scariest thing for me was when my little girl was only a day old and the doctors had to take her away for a CT scan and put her in the intensive care unit. She had a head injury from the difficult birth, but she ended up being fine. :)

Other than that, my first anxiety attack was pretty scary too. Happened right in the middle of one of my university classes!

I looked this guy in the eyes, and died.

Going through a cancer scare right now.

I find out monday morning if I have it or not.

It's 50/50.

To say i'm scared is an understatement. I'm only 20. I don't wanna die :/

best of luck to you, hopefully it goes the right way. However if things should go the wrong way, its extremely important that you stay positive through it all, though its not easy.

I'm Praying it's not Cancer. Good luck to you, Try to report back to us when you do find out.

Just got back from the hospital.

The verdict is... cancer-free!!!!!!!

I'm so happy and relieved. Today is a good day. Sticker on the calendar for sure LOL
