5.3 PvP power nerf as well

As many of you already know, resilience will be nerfed in 5.3. I just discovered a nerf to PvP power as I logged the PTR this morning.

Screenshots of rogue in the exact same gear.

I guess we might be going back the our main stats again //

The bracket sounds like it will be a lot better.

Now only if they could nerf rogues and other OP classes.

This is a huge blow to Pvppower stacking classes that don't benefit that much from Str/agi/int, like Protpaladins. This will probably kill their OP-ness so we don't have to deal with them anymore :)

Classes that benefit alot from the main stats like Rogues, Mages, Boomkins, will get an advantage in 5.3.

As a Rogue, I don't mind at all stacking full agility :D 55% passive crit sweet jesus ;)

Good find.

Doubtful that'll get rid of Prot Paladins, we were just as effective back in Cataclsym with full strength. Can see some reduction in terms of overall damage though. Even then, Protection will most likely continue to be the most viable in comparison to Retribution in both damage and survivability.

Which is a pity~

Yeah ok, whatever. it's a ~30% nerf to that stat, or in order of 10% less damage. Just stop stacking it blindly like so many do now (Chaotic Skyflare Diamond + 3 reds will net you more damage than the shitty stun resist meta) and you'll be fine. Damage taken has gone up anyways.

I find this totally viable in my situation. My ret is just as viable as prot paladins, I find it more so to be honest.

Your damage in comparison to a Protection Paladin, especially in a set such as the one you're wearing will be minuscule. Don't take me wrong, Ret healing is through the roof, I get 70k Selfless heals on friendly targets constantly; very good off-heal support.

Just in terms of damage, reduction without the sacrifice of said damage, and the silence Protection offers, you can understand why so many prefer to roll that over a Ret.

I think you should bare in mind that PvP power also affects healing. Which means (hopefully) that prots won't be able to survive without using major defensives when their healer/hybrid is CC'ed (you never see them with a non-healing class qq).

Pvp power doesn't affect healing of any specs aside from healers. Go into your stats page and hover your mouse over pvp power. Any non-healer spec will have for example. +20.00% damage +0.00% healing. So I believe it wont affect people as much as you think - if you ask me, if prot palas have to start stacking strength gems over pvp power it'll make things even worse in terms of the amount they heals as str = spellpower for such classes.

Manaki is always here to clear things up.

All other specializations and classes (including tanking) receive a 40% bonus to healing from PvP Power.
So you're saying blizzard added this for shits and giggles?
