Fishing Dailies - Bag of Shiny Things

    • Ok well, i've been trying to get weather beaten fishing hat for months now on any toon for the mog and to unlearn ENG to do other profs, but no luck. So today, I decided to do an experiment. I turned in my daily, got the bag and I decided not to open it straight away, but to wait after a battleground. I figured since i've been opening it straight away on my other toons, i would try this. I don't know if it was actually an increased chance of a blue in the bag or just my luck. But it seemed to work. Not the hat, but I got this. Not saying this works, but i want to know if it's true or not.

    Hey I found Waldo! He is behind that purple cat left of the Peach Tree! And it looks like he is stealing some kid´s candy..

    To answer your question: No, it doesnt improve any chances..

    Ignore the trolling Xanseyy. I often find that I receive good luck in-game after spending time helping someone, or completing a certain task IRL... It really is nothing more than good luck/chance.. But if you want to believe it's karma, i'm right behind you there haha! RNG works in mysterious ways :)

    I got weather beaten on almost every toon now (should be around 25x 20's).

    2 chars got it on the first daily.

    I (dont laugh @ me) tried different positions when finishing the quest (Standing in the water @ UC, standing on the peer, mounted, not mounted).

    I have one char with around 20 dailys and no luck on the hat.

    So i think there isnt any chance to increase your "luck".

    But i will test you theory on the next daily.

    What trolling? I answered his question in my first post.

    I dont think u all believe in some miracle algorithm where Blizz instead of just doing some random loot allocation add at least a few dozen lines with "stay at position x" or "turn yourself 3 times in a circle" so you get a specific item?

    To get it every single time you have to start casting your hearthstone and right before teleporting reward the daily while accepting a guild invite. Too bad no one can test it cuz F2Ps cant join guilds
     
    WBFH has eluded my goblin shammy for over 100 dailys. I got the chef's hat and around 30 more cooking tokens. I did the fishing daily everytime I did the cooking daily. It is probably RNG but the WBFH has dropped for my alliance toons more and earlier than my horde toons.

    Am I the only one who noticed the received loot was Bright Baubles and Glass Fishing Bobber?
    No sign of looting Bone Fishing Pole, which makes that SS and this thread completely useless.
