Wow on my laptop Help please!

Every time I play games like wow or GTA 4 (Yes I still play that lol) the fans kick into overdrive and you can hear them, Before They used to make a sound but it wasn't so loud, Plus my laptop keeps overheating and turning off whenever its not hot. My laptop is HP ENVY m6 It's not built for gaming but it can play games

Clean the fans. you can could also get a cooling pad for your laptop.

I've had the same issue with wow, what I did was get a cooling pad and play the 32 bit client in the mean time. I hope this helped

Cleaning the fans and getting a cooling pad really should help tons. If you feel that the laptop really isnt getting that hot before it turns off on you, you could always go threw the Boot Menu and turn off the safety shut off for over heating, But that is highly unrecommended.

You could google your model and it should give you an explanation on how to do it. I would not reccomend playing 32bit on a 64bit system. My old laptop used to have this issue. It would overheat and sometimes bluescreen requiring a hard reset, a cheap 20$ cooling pad from wal-mart was a temporary fix.

Cooling pads wont do shit if the fan vents are blocked.

HP laptops are difficult to get to the fan itself, best thing to do is buy a can of compressed air and blow it into the vent.
