Attempting to become Europes best Arms warrior at 70. (PVP Based)

Hey all.

The title explains it all really, I'm aiming to become the highest rated arms warrior in Europe. I know this seems like a very impossible task as comps now days consist of Priests / Paladins / Hunters and every other OP class in - game however, I would let to set my goals as high as I can go.

So I chose arms.

It's something different and is still very viable " IF PLAYED CORRECTLY "

Any advice and help along the way would be greatly welcomed.

I'm aiming on doing a 2v2 comp consisting of a holy paladin or disc priest, however I'm unsure of what's truly viable within the boundaries of being an arms warrior.
Anyway!

I know I need to change a few things gear wise "Only Minor" However it's a big attempt.
(And yes I know I need to enchant a few things >.> I'm sorry!)

Any advice would be greatly welcomed.
Many thanks.

Elkiva :)

THe highest rated Arms Warrior isn't very high-rated though, I'd imagine.

I played Arms when we still had Knockdown, simply because you could take down someone within that one knockdown if you timed it right. Me and a Holy Paladin reached 1.8k with PvE gear, him in T6, me in SWP gear, but yeah I think the bracket has evolved a bit since then (with atleast 40x more twinks than back then).

Not sure how you're planning on killing anything now :p (though I have to say the DPS isn't too dissapointing).

As odyne said, the rating aim shall not be amazingly high - which is an amazing positive. This, to me, seems a very reasonable goal. I wish you luck, keep us informed on how it goes?

I will do so!

Have you figured out BiS for arms?

I have figured out the best possible BIS Gear for arms, regarding stats and so on. Black Temple is all I need for my BIS Ring / Boots and then I just need to get my leatherworking to 360 or 370 (Can't remember) For the BIS Cape.
+ With Leatherworking I'm able to give myself a major stat increase due to the item enhancements and so on.

There is also a ring from Sunwell and also a helmet from Blacksmithing which I'm inquiring about as well.

Once everything I have is BIS for PVP arms I shall then find the correct amount of PVP power to Strength Ratio followed up with the resilience boundary to give myself peak damage towards enemy players.

Anyway, it's a big task to live to up but I shall try my best!

An arms warrior can still kill most classes " Priest and Holy paladin is a big pain in the backside " However they're still kill able, you've just got to play your class correctly.
We'll soon find out anyway.

Decent shadow priests can solo to at least 1800 rating, and I don't imagine any other arms warriors being above that. So why don't you just find a good shadow priest and tag along? ;>

60% resilience and 12,8k hp unbuffed : / hf in arenas

60% Resilience is near the average DPS Resilience rate at the moment as a 70.
Yes my HP is around 12.8k However with a stat buff that goes up to 14.7k HP + My Commanding shout it can go up to about 15.8k HP - However It doesn't really matter about the warrior shout " AP is the best one "

"Also my gear isn't at its peak yet so therefore it shall be higher"

As long as my healer can keep me up it should be fine.
I've come up against double paladin with survived the one-shot + The bubble should absorb most of the damage.
