I know for a fact this is a re-post, though from a year ago on some long lost thread.

Apparently if you have obtained the achievement of 25 tabards on a toon, it'll become BoA; along with the tabard itself should you go to a tabard vendour. This also works with the Explorer.

Once you speak to the Tabard Designer ( Rebecca Laughlin for Alliance ) You'll have the following options of:

I've lost my Tabard of the Achiever.
I've lost my Tabard of the Explorer.

Hopefully resurfacing this little fact helps new twinks / re-rolled characters have a little piece of their 'main' toon. Who knows, maybe it'll work for FoS tabards one day. >.>
 
I've heard they're making all tabards BoA in the same way as titles (so you can't use tabards on chars that wouldn't otherwise be able to optain the tabard at their level).

Does make me ponder what those lower level brackets think of this. Especially after such a farm for the tabard.

No. rumor has it that more tabards will be allowed in this way, though.
Friend told me this method also works with the conquest tabard.
 
Hmm, do you think they will also allow alts the use of competitors tabard in the future through this method? I can't think of any other worthy tabards at the moment aside from brute force.

'tis what I'd hope for. I'd like my argent dawn tabard v_v
I'm sure everyone else with tabards of worth would like 'em too.
