What caster?

I'm wondering as to what casters are strong in this bracket? I'm going to assume that they're all viable, but I don't want to be banging my head after the third game wishing I was a spriest. Also, I'm kind of discouraged to make a 39 with the recent GFing of the "Cloak of Coordination." How big of a damage difference does this GFed cloak + chant provide?

Every caster in this bracket is incredibly viable. I'm certain ele shamans probably do the least amount of dmg of all the casters(but only barely). However, Ele Shamans do have the double purge + windshear...so I'd still say they are a pretty badass caster haha. Mages are viable, Locks are viable, Ele SHamans are viable, Spriests are viable, and boomkins are viable. All very viable.

Also, I'm kind of discouraged to make a 39 with the recent GFing of the "Cloak of Coordination." How big of a damage difference does this GFed cloak + chant provide?

You and me both. I'd love an answer to this. I've been so busy with work, that I didn't even realize that Cloak of Coordination got nerfed to an ilvl of 60. Since that cloak was basically BiS for every class/spec...that kind of makes me discouraged to making a new toon in the 39 bracket ;/

Pretty sure everyone ditched the double purge glyph as ele, not worth a 6 sec cd on purge!... Ele is probably the weakest caster but i find it fun right now, even without the g/f cloak(didnt feel like farming it)

Your play will make a bigger impact than a cloak enchant.

Thats why I love this bracket compard to the 20-24 bracket. 24s have better gear and an advantage over a f2p. F2ps have to use skill. Gear only gets you so far. In this bracket I love going against people with better gear/ gf'd gear than me. They deserve to wear that gear plus. it makes me play harder but that's me.

Play what you enjoy and is effective for your team's make up.

You dont see that big a difference imo also Skill > Gear, also i dont see many mages out there maybe 1 a game i see plenty of warlocks ele shammy is rare spriests are prob the biggest thret considering they can heal and do insane amounts of damage same as boomy but u dont see many boomies either imo just roll which caster u like the best and each one has there advantages and disadvantages.

Shamans haves always been a controlling class in PvP not a high damage. They have many tools at their disposal that some classes do not and one that makes them unique, an offensive dispel. You may never top the charts as a shaman but you can win the hearts of your teammates.
