Supposedly the bubbles would only crit for 24 Disc priests, because it was attached to Divine Aegis (learned at level 24). I'm also not seeing any shield crits on my f2p priest, but I'll keep testing.

I love the bubble "indicator" or w/e that they added to our health bars. Helps immensely.

Allow me to explain priest shielding to you. Shields do not crit. You apply a shield and it absorbs x amount plus a % of your spellpower, period. Devine Aegis is a result of a crit heal. As of 5.2 that crit heal is reduced to a regular heal amount and the crit part is turned into an Devine Aegis shield. For example if you crit for 1100( in 5.1 it would have been 2200) the other 1100 is applied to a Devine Aegis shield. In 5.2 a priest's regular heals will heal for exactly the same amount as a crit except the crit will apply a Devine Aegis for that heal amount.

As of 5.2, level 24+ Disc Priest shields can crit, applying double the absorption amount (2nd half of the tooltip, not showing up on the link).

ive been toying around with it, but basically what youakim/sweetsydney said
only the 24 ones can "crit", and mine is not even fully best inslot, yet i got a 2.2k shielding

I imagine a best inslot one can have a 2.5k one, and even more with 60 intellect from northrend

Bottom line is:BRING SHAMANS.meni meni shamans to purge, 2.5 bubbles are no laughing matter

Yea, its been really annoying missing the purges recently. I used to love casting a lightning bolt, then purging, so by the time the bolt got to the priest the bubble would be gone and i would do some damage. So fun
