So, One of my 39 Warlocks...

I recently had a conversation with a friend that said 39s are all the rage these days. I told him I had no interest, but that I have 2 39 warlocks and a 39 druid that I haven't played since around the 2.3 days when I was in Cyclone.

My time on my account has been gone for quite a while now and I don't plan to renew just to check, but one of my locks is still showing on the armory. The other lock and the druid aren't showing up anymore.

I was thinking about loaning my account to a friend and wanted to know how much work would be involved for him to get this lock into playing shape. My account has almost 100 heirlooms, so this isn't an issue. I know the belt is probably not going to give stats anymore. If I recall, he has several other items in bags too.

What does this one need. Is it worth bothering or would he be better off rolling his own? The only thing about this lock that is cool is that he has several TCG tabards and the ogre trinket.

It's cool to hear that 39s are back. 19s were so broken right before Cata dropped. I didn't play a single twink BG for the month after Cata dropped, but I heard it was horrible. I farmed a couple weeks for the Alani mount, got it and said... now what? 1/2 million gold, exhalted in most Cata factions, Alani mount, no desire to twink or raid... Blah. Only thing I miss about Wow is some of the people.

Looking at your lock I would say not much work is going to be needed. Any dedicated twinker could easily update his gear within a day. The only thing that may become difficult is getting the bis cloak but then again, not a huge issue as long as there is gold available.

A lot of the gear would need to be changed. Unless you had Rainstrider leggings in your bags I'd have him roll his own. Only hard part would be agm/ uwbs probably

As Soskanky said it will take alot of work gear changes but at the same time not really. One thing I have noticed from coming to 39s is alot of the choices on the gear is your choice built towards your play style. I personally would rock that Lock as a Fear Bot as it has high stam and looks like it would be a good choice for affliction. But if your friend is looking more towards blowing people up hes going to be spending alot of time in Scholo

I'm just curious. Why would underworld band be hard to get. I've been out if the loop for a lil while and simple don't know. I do happen to have one however unequipped sitting in the bank.

Its just a rare world drop, no different then looking for any other Epic on the AH, just sometimes it can be a bitch to find (especially on a low-pop server)

However, it only took me 4 days of spamming trade to get both of mine, offering 1000g per

This is slightly off topic: What was the name of your 39 druid in Cyclone? I primarily played in that BG group around the same time you did.

If this is directed to me, I never played the druid in Cyclone, only the lock. My druid twinks never got much bg time.
