I saw som1 usin an Iron Grenade on a BG earlier an eng req. is 175 but 19s cap is 165? can any1 tell me how that is possible?

No no. i have that 1. the iron grenade was the one i saw used its a 175 lvl req. so im baffled.

I think there are a few 19s out there that have 225 engineering and keep it a secret so no one reports them. Not sure exactly how they got it though, i'm assuming its from tricking a GM.

There is no way you're going to be able to get it or get a gm to be able to even accidently give it to you.

Find a dumb GM and trick him? Not even sure if that's how these people have these professions though. /shrug

Grandfathered level of Engineering.
If it is over the now obtainable Engineering level, then no you can't get them.

It isn't grandfathered - people took advantage of a bug.

pretty sure that was only secondary proffesions, else i missed out. was also the same time that 225 mining got bugged and it gave 70 stam instead of 70 hp.

They didn't accidently remove the level restrictions on secondary professions though. There were no restrictions in the first place.

Might not have been at the same time, but some lvl 1 rogue have 225 engineering, so the primary profession bug might have been some other time.

A few people got lucky. If you got your profession restored, a GM could of made a mistake.
I know this happened for me, my skinning is 225/300.
