    • So I really want to get silver-linked-footguards, its all I need to be BiS for my FC set.

    Since there seems to be no easy mob to farm to get them (I tried farming Mudsnout Gnoll's but it never dropped and their debuffs where difficult to go through) I thought it may be worth it to start farming Drungeld-Glowerglare. The drop rate may be low (very low), but he re spawns very fast (anywhere from 2-15 seconds). So I am thinking of running a key spam and right mouse clicker to farm him during my off time. He is also very good to farm now considering it is the Love is in the Air event and he gives lovely charms, as well as a chance to drop a few other rare blue items.

    What my question is, is there any better way to farm for silver-linked-footguards? (the way I calculate it, it would take roughly under a week worth of nights running the farm).

    (Also note that while he has just under 2k hp killing him continuously is of no problem)
     
    chests.Period.
    Create lots of level 1 alts and have them parked in ashenvale/hillsbrad/duskwood/wetlands.Once you memorize chest spawn locations it should be easy.

    All of my rare sought after blue BoEs came from chests inculding the boots you mentioned.

    I tried doing that, that is actually how I came across the mob in the first place, right behind him spawns a chest. However whenever I check for the chests they are never there, and I dont really want to wait a month to get it. (A post I saw here said it took someone a month of chest farming)
     
    Chest farming is by far the best way to do it. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I am probably the most experienced chest farmer in f2p. The best way to farm chests is ofc with a p2p and fast flying. When I farm chests i do most likely 1-2 runs per day of all 5 zones (skipping STV because it's out of the way on a p2p) picking up anywhere from 0-15 chests per day. As a f2p it will obviously be slower but you will most likely have the best luck in the middle/end of the lowest pop time on your server (most likely early morning/late nights but possibly even till noon.) My favorite zone is Stonetalon Mountains as out of all the zones it is by far the least quested in imo.

    Using this map: Sturdy Treasure Chest - Object - World of Warcraft

    For me, the best way to farm chests (for a horde) has been to farm four locations in hillsbrad:

    The first is the 3 hills in the middle of the map that each have chests on them. It's really easy to park an alliance character there because the mobs are friendly.

    Second is the 3 chests by dalaran. Anything will do, but an alliance character is easiest there as well because the human mobs are friendly.

    Third is durnholde keep. It's best to keep a healer there so you can solo the elite mobs, but you can park a ghost character there in the middle of the 3 chests and you'll be able to see the chests as ghost if they're there.

    Fourth is the upper-right-most chests (3 of them) in Strahnbrad. If you park a ghost character there right in the middle of those three, you can see all the chests as ghost. (they're in buildings)
