Self-aware NPC

I would absolutely love it if Blizzard took the time to make an NPC who is completely self-aware, and it only has one life.
So basically, it'll randomly generate itself, name, class, race (One for each faction for each server) and spec (Debatable on spec)
and it will go about the game as though it was a player, not particularly interacting in an in-depth kind of way, but it acts like it knows it's an NPC and completely shatter the forth wall because of that.

Like talking about how it's weird that everyone runs around with such indiscretion killing one another or dying, yet they never really die, things like that.

and because it only has one life, if it dies, it dies, it will reset, randomize it's class, race, spec, name, and then go about it's journey again.

Even queuing into Dungeons and (Rarely?) Battlegrounds

Haven't put a ton of thought into this, so I can't present a schematic of what Blizzard could do, but I think it would be a fun idea.

i don't have anything against you personally, but why do you feel the need to make a new thread for every wow-related thought you have?

He has been doing this for a year, and even makes new accounts (3 I think, prob. more).

Every is a very broad word, I only post the few that I enjoy.

But are you really THAT upset over eight threads in four months?
lul.
Two of which are going off something I've been doing since I joined Twink Info
One of which was helping me decide which class I was going to roll, as well as sheer curiousity as to what peoples favorite class is.
One to inform Izac that I had gotten the name "Isaac" for him from my friend, and I was not sure I would be able to actively play World of Warcraft and catch him on at a time I was on if he did not know I was looking for him because I had real life things to take care of.
One being looking for some help with upgrading my druid past my area of expertise (Which did not appear on the main F2P forums)
and a thread I thought would be fun, as well as this one

So, looking at those statistics, this is thee ONLY idea related thread I've posted in nearly six months.

You don't pay so they don't listen, sad though...
I have an active running subscription that has been on and off, mainly on, since Vanilla.
I do pay. ;)
But I do agree, I think it's silly of them to look over Free to Play voices just because F2Ps aren't lining their wallet with money (Which some of them are)

See Licholas' reply, and as for the accounts I have two Robert accounts, the first was made with the intent of only wearing the Noble title, but decided to stick with The Hallowed and take the universal "the Druid" TI name.

Edit: This account has 46 threads created, including this one, in the year of it's lifespan.
Meaning nearly 200 of it's posts are in threads, not creating.

Good idea. I'd like to see NPC "players" that wandered through all of Azeroth and Outlands, leveling up etc. They would be extremely hard to find and elites, and only have one life and you could gank them and take their stuff. Maybe they'd have quest gear loot as if they'd just done some quests. Or if you were their faction you could help them with quests for awesome rewards.

BEST IDEA EVER

Love the concept Robert, though I think the programing of such a... bot... by Blizzard themselves would be quite the contradiction. Especially if its going around telling people its programed to play the game on its own.

On a more technical note, I do not believe such a "creation" could exist within the game's programing on the level you describe... I think it would have to be an outside program made to interface with the game.

Skynet in wow! And you thought Cataclysm destroyed the land scape, jut wait until you have thinking NPC's. Piles of skulls in every zone. Gona have to recruit Aaanoold to play wow instead of Mr. T

Fresh ideas? What do you think you are doing? MoP is the ultimate copy-pasta expansion. Its almost litterally like any other game, except it uses WoW characters and awful pvp.

Oh don't be so bashful Lich, it is an interesting idea that could go places.

I was actually thinking about this on my way home, and in my mind relating it to Cleverbot and how maybe they could fine tune that concept/program and be able to run it through the character.

jut wait until you have thinking NPC's.
Surprisingly, your post gave me another idea.
What if it wasn't just one NPC but it was a larger concept and the NPCs could build little towns XD

I'll try to disagree when I can figure out a good foothold argument, but till then you win, because it's true. xD

I like your spelling, it sounds like the best expansion yet

Copy-pasta

Oh, don't mind him. I already tore him apart in my reply, I saw him come back into the thread because of his quote notification, and left the thread without replying.

RuneScape has a few things in their game like this. One that catches my attention is an NPC named Max wearing full Torva(best armor in the game, and most expensive) displaying a character level, unlike other NPCs. He has a dialogue and patrols a certain area, doing the skill Farming.
