  • I have a 85 Holy Pally on Thrall-US named Healyá and is in full Ruthless and Cata PvP gear. aside the one trinket.... I wanna know what the BiS is for my Pally so i can do some BGs lol. i have a rough idea i just wanna see the opinion of other people.

Not sure paladins can get cataclysmic, but basically full cataclysmic w/ offset helm, 471 (upgraded) offhand plus the 442 healing mace. You'll be fairly invincible, i guess around 65% resi is a good direction to aim, putting power gems in blues (the difference is quite noticable).

Inspired by Splosion's idea with the offhand, I've made a set with higher ilvl pieces to replace plate pieces.
I ended up with 8k more hp, more mastery, more spellpower, more everything! (besides armor),

Bracers of Rolling Fields - Item - World of Warcraft Instead of Bracers of the Neux Dawn - Item - World of Warcraft.
Wind-Kissed Handwraps - Item - World of Warcraft Instead of Errick's Woundbinder Gauntlets - Item - World of Warcraft
Helm of Elemental Binding - Item - World of Warcraft Instead of Light-Sealed Casque - Item - World of Warcraft
Umbrella of Chi-Ji - Item - World of Warcraft Instead of Turpster's Sonorous Shield - Item - World of Warcraft
    http://www.wowhead.com/item=87502 Instead of http://www.wowhead.com/item=87501

Note ofc, this set is only vs teams without a physical dps!

Now for the cata pieces to get fixed, finally!

Just as a note - the plate bonus really isn't worth losing. at level 80 pre-mop, it was worth 200 intellect, and at 85 with mop gear, it's likely worth easily 2-3x that. Given that the non-plate pieces don't have that much better stats (besides the belt, which I wouldn't use anyway) I doubt you'd be gaining anything.

But yes, the shield is definitely worth having for melee cleaves, it'll buy you probably 15% extra survivability against physical damage, if not more.

However if you PvE, go for all the stats you want. I just don't think it's quite as clear cut as you might think.

I've gained around 200 sp total from swapping plate pieces to higher ilvl ones. And on top of that, the 450 cloth belt gave me a lot of SP because I had the 450 plate due to high stam before.
So in total I have about 800 more SP with that set.

More mastery, more haste, more SP, more HP, less armor.
