I would use thalrid's greaves until i get the boa 2h axe and then use forman's leggings

You sacrifice too much str with thaelrids. If you really want crit, take stoneguards.

^This. You gain nothing from Int, and the loss of strength means lower DPS/Heals.

Stoneguards are grandfathered though so for Horde you had to have gotten them in Cata and for Alliance you had to have gotten them pre-5.1

If you don't have access to Stoneguards get Thaelrids.

In my opinion, like Warrior, Retribution Paladin has to stack crit to deal effective DPS (which it can when played correctly.).

As for a vote in the poll, due to Stoneguard being grandfathered I voted Thaelrids. But ABSOLUTELY use Stoneguard if you managed to get a pair when they were available.

For horde. It was then available to alliance paladins who completed the RFC quest "The Dark Shaman" in Ret spec.

I'm currently leveling a shaman, when I get to 15 I'll post a screen shot for confirmation.

It was a reward from the Taragaman(SP? Can't be bothered) the Hungerer quest horde side. Then it was removed when MOP hit. It was available through an alliance quest (Dark Shaman) after 5.0, but for reasons unknown the reward was removed in 5.1 but the quest still exists.

Nice Avatar BTW, I wreck face with AP Taric.

AP taric too strongk. I've strayed from my love for support taric in exchange for OP Ali. On topic, I used stoneguards on my 5.1 prot, but I would have probably used foremans if I thought they were enough of an improvement to justify farming them for the trillionth time.

I would say Foreman's over BFD legs.

Int is useless now and provides no benefits for a ret paladin. Losing 7 strength isn't worth that.
