Trinketing a sap

yeah

Legend
  • is it noobish or smart to trinket a sap, which will lead to the whole ally team or the horde team to go after you at the begining of a wsg match?

Never trinket sap, good rogues will reapply it as soon as you do.

used to spam sap in mid to see how trinkets i could pull off, highest was 4 in 2mins.

only time to trinket is sap is if you're a healer on D with FC and rogue has opened on your fc.

I do use trinket if its 1v1 rogue, where he saps me and I can see him stand near me = trinket, and attack him to get first hits :)
Otherwise I think it is a stupid idea.

oh ok, but what if the rogue is coming with his whole team, what should i do?

it all depends on the situation of the bg, if it's just in start , you are sapped and u see rest of his team coming you just sit that damn sap and take the D, save trinket for saving fc or killing efc.

Aye, chances are that you will get raped by their team, trinket that sap or not.

    I'd only trinket a sap in a few situations;
FCing and going for a cap when you get sapped (especially if you see the rogue after sap and can stop him from repicking)
On defence if you get sapped and your FC is taking hard damage, trinket to heal him or peel the DPS off your FC (if it's necessary of course, don't waste it if there's someone else who can keep the FC up)
In a duel, if you can get that rogue out of stealth it might be useful since rogues barely have other CC worth trinketing (not really on topic but yah :d)

I'm sure there's more situations where it's wise to trinket a sap, but you'll just have to learn when :)

I see people trinket Charge stuns all the time, Sap would be easier to force trinkets with its long duration and all. Meh writing this, i just realized how god awful this bracket is.

idd, paladins popping bubble/LoH and trinket 1v1 in mid and they wonder why the get called bads.

Very good question, if it is the only rogue in the team then yes, don't if you can trinket a 6 or 3 sec stun, or other forms of CC that have a long duration if you are having problems with being sapped get this:
    -Saysapped

It will alert other players of the condition.

If it is being used to immobilize you and you have a spell to get you out of range then yes.

Also know your rogue, if he is Shadow Focus he will sap you three times consecutively, others will sap once or twice, wait for team and engage.

There are few enough CC's being used in this bracket that trinketing a sap is usually fine.

It's a situational question. If I am the fc healer, we are 0-0 and know there are 3-4 rogues that may team together to sap me, wait for others to leave me alone like lions on a buffalo, well it's trinket + feral displacement. If not, trinket is reserved for ship or fear when there's inc in base.

Edit: me, always getting spell names wrong.

Edit edit: to be clear, it's noobish if there are only 2 rogues around that are not 24, as a healer one can overheal the initial burst, or in general if you are dpsing, better leave the trinket when one is nuking the efc.

Yeah, trinket sap and kill it. Most rogues in this bracket are bad/easy to find in stealth.

Using the trink on a sap is a good idea when you can't afford to spend 9 more seconds in a sap.
