280.24% UNBUFFED Haste

so yea just leveled my first monk up to 10 and turned off XP, mailed over some gear. without herbalism, food buffs, any other buffs , the base haste on a monk can hit 280.24%. dayum.

Monks initially get 40% melee attack speed from using a 2h, and probably used pitchfork with 20 haste to increase it further.
Along with possibly cloth boa helm, boa pants, 10 haste on gloves, 2 haste trinkets.

the 40% is not written in as haste as far as i know, but mistweaver 50% increase plus 10 to gloves, 20 to wep, pants cloak hat and both trinkets plus 3 haste chest= amaazing


edit: this is more than 3 ticks a second on healing mist btw

I said melee attack speed. It's not the same as haste, as it doesn't increase energy regen. Forgot about the mistweaver stance.

Because only two polearms are available at this level to use the counterweight on, and i do not currently own the other one; monks cant use two handed maces

Solo lvl 18 elites at lvl 10? No problem.
Even with out haste some classes can do it (Priest for example)

If you really wanna solo mobs (that is not immune to roots etc) just roll a druid and switch between root and starfire. You can easy solo 80 mobs this way ^^ Kinda cheaty though.
