Anyways, if you want to play paladin, go either holy or protection. Retribution is far too gimped to be of any use. Take it from personal experience with Ret.

There will be cases of that.
The argas rings are one example. Choosing between a 5 str 4 stam, or 6 int 5 stam makes it a very dire decision depending on how dedicated you will be to the spec you will play. If you plan on playing both specs in one, you may choose one of each and go for garrosh's pardon (5 stam 5 int), and use either baron family seal or bravo company signet for str.
