Question: battle.net & BattleTags

  • Hey,

I have a question to people playing the f2p version of wow and who linked their account to their battle.net p2p account.

I thought that on the f2p version of wow you were not able to speak to your battle.net friends (ones added via BattleTags).

But a P2P friend told me he sees me online each time i connect via my f2p account, that he is able to send me messages, messages that i don't see on my f2p.

Is there something i am doing wrong? Or is it possible to speak to your battle.net on a f2P account?

    Thanks!

What happens is your friends can see you are online, and they can try to talk to you but the messages never appear on the F2P account.
On your end battle.net/battletags are disabled and so you cannot talk to them.

I had a RL friend who was pretty peeved that I was "ignoring him", and I didnt know he could see me as online for about a month.

i can talk to my battle.net friends on diablo3 anyway but this isn't really handy :/
