whats bis shield for 14's

In the meantime go to the 19s forum and look up all cata gear. Should be a sticky. There's a section for some of 10-14 quests there. There should be a shield oy two in that list.

I forgot the counterattack quest chain wasn't a lv14 req. Sorry I can't answer your question then.

All I can say is try looking through wowhead for shields within the 10-14 range and pick whichever works. That or check the armories and hope one of the 14s has a shield. I'll look at the armories later after work.

EDIT:
For a caster class, I think this one would work - Inscribed Buckler - Item - World of Warcraft, unless a quest reward provides a better one.
For a melee class, all the good ones I believe are from quests. Honorary Gob Squad Shield - Item - World of Warcraft (Horde) would probably be the best choice in my opinion.
