    • Hello there!


    I want to talk about resists and the recent changes made by Blizzard.

    (I'm sorry I don't have some sort of proof, that Blizzard said they removed resists in MoP - reason: Patch Notes for 5.0.4 only shows 4.3 changes - derpy Blizzard...)


    Now, what is interesting about this removal of resists, is, that Blizzard didn't remove them - almost nuff said.

    I already witnessed it in 5.0.4, 5.0.5 and now they are still ingame in 5.1 (and now our honor-trinket doesn't even grant spell penetration - which didn't work since 5.0.4 anyway - anymore)


    Here is a screenshot I took about 10 minutes ago in an AB against a Worgen Priest who's name I covered for obvious reasons:

    That I get damage resisted as a mage isn't that bad for me, but since MoP (and with that, the "removal" of resists and spell penetration) I got 5 sheeps resisted in total - which could have probably won 1 or 2 games.



    Has anyone else gotten anything resisted since MoP?

    Ya, I've noticed having spells resisted and resisting them too. Annoyed that I replaced the enchant with the 10armor after believing somebody who said resistance would be gone. Some toons still have it though.



    Also, after looking at your mage . . . ARRG, how do so many people have Mindthrusts?!? I've run SFK soooo maaaany times. Only seen them twice and won them once (on a lurpy male Draenei fire mage that I never play). lol.

    Yes, but mostly when they were Alliance wearing a Keeshan's Bandana. I believe they actually removed the racial resistances, but gear with it is still available.

    I really don't know, and I usually see people with <20 runs with it :/
     
    resists are fully functional, its just so hard to stack them now unlike cata, now there is just Sayges fortune buff and nerfed gnomer gears.

    What I could never understand why in the hell did blizzard remove them after 7 years?Who in their right mind would remove a basic concept of the game thats been in it for 7 years ever since classic? Ghostcrawlers IQ amazes me daily. Why is armor not removed since thats physical %dmg reduction and resists are %magical dmg reduction.

    Let's hope I can say this without sounding like a complete asshole but I got them on my 2nd run :(


    Nature Resistance is the Tauren "resist" to Nature Damage - shows it's now only a damage reduction, but that doesn't explain why I get spells RESISTED, it makes them weaker, for obvious reasons, but it's not like you can make a sheep weaker (reduce duration maybe? thought about that blizzard?...) so this is still out in the blue why resists are still in the game - dunno how it's for 90s though

    well thats the point sometimes tauren and night elves get to fully ''resist'' your crippling poison too
    you ever played in cata as a hunter or arcane mage against fucking blood elves? That was annoying that more than 25% of your damage was nullified and like 10% resisted. And the fact that were SO MANY blood elves out there. While most dont ever look at the damage screen in midsts of the combat , I would sometimes pause to check the combat log on my blood elf.And some would be 24 running around with charged gears and emissary cuffs with 14% more arcane resists

    I still hold a grudge against that OP bullshit arcane resists with a burning passion.And most blood elves probably never realized how OP they were
     
    Nah, not at all, lol. I've gotten plenty of rare-really rare items. Just not Mindthrusts or MM . . . even though I'd guess I've been to SFK more than any other place in WoW.

    You had me wondering what school Polymorph is in; kinda made it seem like it's a Nature spell. Which woul be quite odd, but sort of plausible (in a humorous way).



    er, no Thrusts on anyone I care about, that is.

    Resists shouldn't BE in the game anymore, that's what I'm coming from. I personally stated that I'm still getting resisted no matter the reason...
