What's the best setup as far as class specialization goes? Some people say Resto with Feral Gear. Some people say FeralxFeral.

Looking for solid reviews on both set-ups from established players but I'll take any advice I can get.

F2P's weigh in too please. Average F2P's are mostly skill capped.

I've done both and honestly couldn't tell you which is best. Or even which I prefer. This is of course from a 20 perspective, so grain of salt and all.

Feral/Resto has the obvious benefits of being a Resto druid. You won't die. Probably ever.
Feral/Feral does damage leaps and bounds above Resto.

If you can count on heals, straight burst is my preference (Feral/Feral). And at 24 it will be truly disgusting. If you are PuGing, Feral/Resto is a lot more versatile.

I have been in games where I've said "Man I wish I was Feral," and been in games where the opposite is true too. I'd recommend trying them both out. They wear the same gear afterall ^_^

personal perspective of my 24 feral druid, i just think feral is by far the most enjoyable spec to roll, lols ;)

ive played all 3 specs and feral is the most enjoyable for me
boomkin is boring but prly the best of the 3 specs with top overall dps and exceptional healing
resto is boring and too easy imo

plus as feral unbuffed critting ppl for 2400 never gets old ^.^

I've played f2p feral with increased movement speed talent and you still almost never die, and the skill cap is actually reasonably high for maximizing the likelihood of killing someone (i.e. there are lots of abilities that you can use in different ways to increase your dps pressure before unleashing burst). It's a lot of fun. I haven't tried resto spec/feral but I'm guessing it's more boring.

I don't know why but I find f2p boomkin boring - maybe too easy? Feral seems more interesting but I have not tested post MoP.

EDIT - F2P PoV only.
