It's hard not to be interested when someone comes up with the new way of gauging skill. Here's some formulas to have fun with. I know there are lots of ways of calculating these (please share) but here are a couple.
Epeen ratio = (how good you think you are)/ (how good everyone else thinks you are)
[This can also be estimated from many other factors related to types of posts on TI - you know what I'm talking about. I'd call it a 'size' but it's really the ratio between epeen size and actual size...]
False modesty score ~ number of threads started that are thinly disguised as providing objective measures of skill but are based on the OPs own data showing OP to be 'above average' or better, and number of threads where about how good 'someone else' is when the OP is clearly a TI alt of that person.
What's most interesting is how these two measures relate
When Epeen size is big and False modesty score is low, you're probably dealing with a narcissist with likely psychopathic traits
When Epeen size and False modesty score are both high, well then you've got some with gradiosity but dependent personality traits
When False modesty score is high Epeen size is small, in that case worry about serious self-esteem issues and self-destructive traits
Bottom line: these formulas are just about as useful for figuring out whether you're good as any others. If you don't know whether you are good or not, play more and find out for yourself.
