Petition to increase Like Cap to 10

I hope if enough people agree Shane might consider raising the cap.


My thoughts:

1. If you like clicking 'like' under a post to signal agreement and enjoyment like me, a like cap of more than 5 would be lovely. (Or no cap, but danger of 3. I guess.)

2. If you don't 'like' you probably don't care.

3. If you are worried people will inflate their friends 'likes receives', I guess that's a worry. But it'll happen with 5 as well, and I haven't really noticed anyone putting effort into doing this.

I think 5 is good, makes people actually like good posts instead of everything.

Well I mostly use none, or way less than 5, but occasionally there's a day I'd like to like another post...

This has been fixed. You should be able to "Like" posts again.

As for the "Like" cap, increasing it to 10 does not really make much sense. 5 Likes per day seems to be working just fine. The whole point of the system is to Like posts that are USEFUL. I see SO many people liking troll/harassment/etc. threads, that I have thought about doing away with the system entirely.

Sorry Yde, but I will not be bumping it up to 10.
