  • Ok, so I'm curious about what profs I should pick up. I find it interesting that for enchanting you cannot put 160 agility on other peoples' rings (Enchant Ring - Greater Agility - Spell - World of Warcraft); as far as I know, I can't scroll it but it doesn't say anything about requiring x amount of enchanting skill to keep the enchant. I don't know how leg patches work but I have a feeling it's the same way (Shadowleather Leg Armor - Item - World of Warcraft).

    Here's my hunter
Childman @ Terokkar - Community - World of Warcraft

So I was thinking max enchanting and LW, get the ring enchant and leg patch. After that roll alchemy and engineering as they require you to have alch/engin to keep their prof bonuses. If I'm wrong about the ring enchants/leg patch tell me.

This is why you should have alchemy:
Zen Alchemist Stone - Item - World of Warcraft
    +
Flask of Enhancement - Item - World of Warcraft

This is why you should have engineering:
Synapse Springs - Spell - World of Warcraft
    +
Nitro Boosts - Spell - World of Warcraft
    +
Flexweave Underlay - Spell - World of Warcraft Especially for hunters

Only problem I have with switching profs is I don't want to lose any grandfathered BS recipes I might or might not have. >.<
Anyone have any comments, questions, concerns, ect about this setup?

historically, you've had to keep enchanting in order to use the ring enchants. I don't see why it would be different with these ones.
blacksmithing will allow you to add sockets to 417+ BoEs and use mop gems and mop enchants on those items (wrist/gloves) so i wouldn't be to quick to untrain that until you've evaluated what you are going to use for gear. I'm pretty tempted to drop alchemy and pickup BS on my mage right now but will wait and see

Alch+ something, because you can already use all of the enchants (not devaluing enchanting), but you get access to 90 flasks with 90 mixology, in addition to the alchemy stone. The other is your choice, since most don't give much (although BS/JWC should let you use MoP gems)

Yeah but even when the MoP epic gems are introduced, would two epic MoP gem slots be better than, say Synapse Springs - Spell - World of Warcraft? Not to mention the other bonuses from engineering?

PS: I think alchemy is a given now with the passive buff plus alchemist stone (751 mastery+ 4561 agility proc= GG imo)

i chose mining and herb because i am too poor, and the fact that my 85 twink is really just an alt, my main on that server is my 70 druid.
