Questions on account merging

So when you merge accounts do you get 1 log in or do they stay seperate? Can you merge a P2P account with a F2P and if so, will have to pay for the trial? Do the characters stay sperate or do they remain on their seperate accounts? And how does account wide stuff work now with the mounts and everything (I only ask cuz I saw a post on here earlier asking about Yaks and F2P's using them? Would it provide any benefit to linking my no longer being used P2P with my active trial?
 
Yes yes and yes. Merge your old P2P with your F2P and you'll have all the goodies from your P2P on your F2P and it will still remain free. You'll have one log on, then you'll choose which account to use. Remember, you have to log onto your P2P at least once to get any mounts/pets/goodies.
 
How is this account merge thingy done. I've tried the google, and also the TI search; still I can not find the info. Can anybody pm me the link?

Editing to clarify...

Account merging option is for the pre-battle.net accounts. If you are trying to link 2 licenses then you need to speak with Account and Payment department.

Make sure your name is the same on both accounts and that you have a really, really good reason why.
