Could I get the yak mounts on my f2p if I have MoP, a level 40 and 3000 gold?

I believe so, since it has been shown all Lv40 ground mounts are available for F2Ps

Even gryphon/hippogryph/wind rider mounts can be used by F2Ps (which are Lv60 mounts).

You will have to get exalted with Kun-Lai Summit (sp?) before you can buy the Yak but....;

I don't believe there's a rep requirement, just lots and lots of gold. Could get there at 40, perhaps.

Don't know about the Grand one since I didn't bother to pony up the cash for it.

Edit: To answer the original question... If you intend to buy it on a level 40, you may be SoL.
