is 80 twinking dead?

as the title says? or did it survive? cause i leveled my mage out of 70 bracket once it died myserably and now am going to twink at 80, but if its just as broken as 70 ill save my time and go to end game or 85

edit: and would you play mage or dk in that bracket?

I have a mage at 80 that's fairly close to BiS and they were good, but I don't know how much has changed since I left.
